| CVE-2023-53322 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-08-04 | 8.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: qla2xxx: Wait for io return on terminate rport System crash due to use after free. Current code allows terminate_rport_io to exit before making sure all IOs has returned. For FCP-2 device, IO's can hang on in HW because driver has not tear down the session in FW at first sign of cable pull. When dev_loss_tmo timer pops, terminate_rport_io is called and upper layer is about to free various resources. Terminate_rport_io trigger qla to do the final cleanup, but the cleanup might not be fast enough where it leave qla still holding on to the same resource. Wait for IO's to return to upper layer before resources are freed. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: ath11k: Fix SKB corruption in REO destination ring While running traffics for a long time, randomly an RX descriptor filled with value "0" from REO destination ring is received. This descriptor which is invalid causes the wrong SKB (SKB stored in the IDR lookup with buffer id "0") to be fetched which in turn causes SKB memory corruption issue and the same leads to crash after some time. Changed the start id for idr allocation to "1" and the buffer id "0" is reserved for error validation. Introduced Sanity check to validate the descriptor, before processing the SKB. Crash Signature : Unable to handle kernel paging request at virtual address 3f004900 PC points to "b15_dma_inv_range+0x30/0x50" LR points to "dma_cache_maint_page+0x8c/0x128". | CVE-2023-53285 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-08-04 | 7.1 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ext4: add bounds checking in get_max_inline_xattr_value_size() Normally the extended attributes in the inode body would have been checked when the inode is first opened, but if someone is writing to the block device while the file system is mounted, it's possible for the inode table to get corrupted. Add bounds checking to avoid reading beyond the end of allocated memory if this happens. | ||||

| CVE-2023-53254 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-08-04 | 7.8 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: cacheinfo: Fix shared_cpu_map to handle shared caches at different levels The cacheinfo sets up the shared_cpu_map by checking whether the caches with the same index are shared between CPUs. However, this will trigger slab-out-of-bounds access if the CPUs do not have the same cache hierarchy. Another problem is the mismatched shared_cpu_map when the shared cache does not have the same index between CPUs. CPU0 I D L3 index 0 1 2 x ^ ^ ^ ^ index 0 1 2 3 CPU1 I D L2 L3 This patch checks each cache is shared with all caches on other CPUs. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: HID: nvidia-shield: Reference hid_device devm allocation of input_dev name Use hid_device for devm allocation of the input_dev name to avoid a use-after-free. input_unregister_device would trigger devres cleanup of all resources associated with the input_dev, free-ing the name. The name would subsequently be used in a uevent fired at the end of unregistering the input_dev. | ||||
| CVE-2023-53242 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-08-04 | 7.1 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: thermal/drivers/hisi: Drop second sensor hi3660 The commit 74c8e6bffbe1 ("driver core: Add __alloc_size hint to devm allocators") exposes a panic "BRK handler: Fatal exception" on the hi3660_thermal_probe funciton. This is because the function allocates memory for only one sensors array entry, but tries to fill up a second one. Fix this by removing the unneeded second access. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: jfs: jfs_dmap: Validate db_l2nbperpage while mounting In jfs_dmap.c at line 381, BLKTODMAP is used to get a logical block number inside dbFree(). db_l2nbperpage, which is the log2 number of blocks per page, is passed as an argument to BLKTODMAP which uses it for shifting. Syzbot reported a shift out-of-bounds crash because db_l2nbperpage is too big. This happens because the large value is set without any validation in dbMount() at line 181. Thus, make sure that db_l2nbperpage is correct while mounting. Max number of blocks per page = Page size / Min block size => log2(Max num_block per page) = log2(Page size / Min block size) = log2(Page size) - log2(Min block size) => Max db_l2nbperpage = L2PSIZE - L2MINBLOCKSIZE | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipv6/addrconf: fix a potential refcount underflow for idev Now in addrconf_mod_rs_timer(), reference idev depends on whether rs_timer is not pending. Then modify rs_timer timeout. There is a time gap in [1], during which if the pending rs_timer becomes not pending. It will miss to hold idev, but the rs_timer is activated. Thus rs_timer callback function addrconf_rs_timer() will be executed and put idev later without holding idev. A refcount underflow issue for idev can be caused by this. if (!timer_pending(&idev->rs_timer)) in6_dev_hold(idev); <--------------[1] mod_timer(&idev->rs_timer, jiffies + when); To fix the issue, hold idev if mod_timer() return 0. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: skbuff: Fix a race between coalescing and releasing SKBs Commit 1effe8ca4e34 ("skbuff: fix coalescing for page_pool fragment recycling") allowed coalescing to proceed with non page pool page and page pool page when @from is cloned, i.e. to->pp_recycle --> false from->pp_recycle --> true skb_cloned(from) --> true However, it actually requires skb_cloned(@from) to hold true until coalescing finishes in this situation. If the other cloned SKB is released while the merging is in process, from_shinfo->nr_frags will be set to 0 toward the end of the function, causing the increment of frag page _refcount to be unexpectedly skipped resulting in inconsistent reference counts. Later when SKB(@to) is released, it frees the page directly even though the page pool page is still in use, leading to use-after-free or double-free errors. So it should be prohibited. The double-free error message below prompted us to investigate: BUG: Bad page state in process swapper/1 pfn:0e0d1 page:00000000c6548b28 refcount:-1 mapcount:0 mapping:0000000000000000 index:0x2 pfn:0xe0d1 flags: 0xfffffc0000000(node=0|zone=1|lastcpupid=0x1fffff) raw: 000fffffc0000000 0000000000000000 ffffffff00000101 0000000000000000 raw: 0000000000000002 0000000000000000 ffffffffffffffff 0000000000000000 page dumped because: nonzero _refcount CPU: 1 PID: 0 Comm: swapper/1 Tainted: G E 6.2.0+ Call Trace: <IRQ> dump_stack_lvl+0x32/0x50 bad_page+0x69/0xf0 free_pcp_prepare+0x260/0x2f0 free_unref_page+0x20/0x1c0 skb_release_data+0x10b/0x1a0 napi_consume_skb+0x56/0x150 net_rx_action+0xf0/0x350 ? __napi_schedule+0x79/0x90 __do_softirq+0xc8/0x2b1 __irq_exit_rcu+0xb9/0xf0 common_interrupt+0x82/0xa0 </IRQ> <TASK> asm_common_interrupt+0x22/0x40 RIP: 0010:default_idle+0xb/0x20 | ||||
