| CVE-2026-25068 | 1 Alsa-project | 1 Alsa-lib | 2026-01-30 | 4.3 Medium |
| alsa-lib versions 1.2.2 up to and including 1.2.15.2, prior to commit 5f7fe33, contain a heap-based buffer overflow in the topology mixer control decoder. The tplg_decode_control_mixer1() function reads the num_channels field from untrusted .tplg data and uses it as a loop bound without validating it against the fixed-size channel array (SND_TPLG_MAX_CHAN). A crafted topology file with an excessive num_channels value can cause out-of-bounds heap writes, leading to a crash. | ||||
| CVE-2005-0087 | 2 Alsa-project, Redhat | 2 Alsa-lib, Enterprise Linux | 2025-04-03 | N/A |
| The alsa-lib package in Red Hat Linux 4 disables stack protection for the libasound.so library, which makes it easier for attackers to execute arbitrary code if there are other vulnerabilities in the library. | ||||
| CVE-2019-13351 | 2 Alsa-project, Jackaudio | 2 Alsa, Jack2 | 2024-11-21 | N/A |
| posix/JackSocket.cpp in libjack in JACK2 1.9.1 through 1.9.12 (as distributed with alsa-plugins 1.1.7 and later) has a "double file descriptor close" issue during a failed connection attempt when jackd2 is not running. Exploitation success depends on multithreaded timing of that double close, which can result in unintended information disclosure, crashes, or file corruption due to having the wrong file associated with the file descriptor. | ||||
| CVE-2009-0035 | 1 Alsa-project | 1 Alsa | 2024-11-21 | 5.5 Medium |
| alsa-utils 1.0.19 and later versions allows local users to overwrite arbitrary files via a symlink attack via the /usr/bin/alsa-info and /usr/bin/alsa-info.sh scripts. | ||||
