| CVE-2017-7299 | 1 Gnu | 1 Binutils | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| The Binary File Descriptor (BFD) library (aka libbfd), as distributed in GNU Binutils 2.28, has an invalid read (of size 8) because the code to emit relocs (bfd_elf_final_link function in bfd/elflink.c) does not check the format of the input file before trying to read the ELF reloc section header. The vulnerability leads to a GNU linker (ld) program crash. | ||||
| CVE-2017-7304 | 1 Gnu | 1 Binutils | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| The Binary File Descriptor (BFD) library (aka libbfd), as distributed in GNU Binutils 2.28, is vulnerable to an invalid read (of size 8) because of missing a check (in the copy_special_section_fields function) for an invalid sh_link field before attempting to follow it. This vulnerability causes Binutils utilities like strip to crash. | ||||
| CVE-2017-11093 | 1 Google | 1 Android | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| In android for MSM, Firefox OS for MSM, QRD Android, with all Android releases from CAF using the Linux kernel, buffer Over-read in Display due to the lack of an upper-bound validation when reading "num_of_cea_blocks" from the untrusted source (EDID), kernel memory can be exposed. | ||||
| CVE-2017-11064 | 1 Google | 1 Android | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| In Android for MSM, Firefox OS for MSM, QRD Android, with all Android releases from CAF using the Linux kernel, a buffer overread is observed during processing of ACA_NL80211_VENDOR_SUBCMD_EXTSCAN_PNO_SET_PASSPOINT_LIST and QCA_NL80211_VENDOR_SUBCMD_EXTSCAN_PNO_SET_LIST cfg80211 vendor commands in __wlan_hdd_cfg80211_set_passpoint_list and hdd_extscan_passpoint_fill_network_list function respectively. Android ID: A-36815952. References: QC-CR#2054770, QC-CR#2058447, QC-CR#2066628, QC-CR#2087785 | ||||
| CVE-2017-3735 | 3 Debian, Openssl, Redhat | 3 Debian Linux, Openssl, Enterprise Linux | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| While parsing an IPAddressFamily extension in an X.509 certificate, it is possible to do a one-byte overread. This would result in an incorrect text display of the certificate. This bug has been present since 2006 and is present in all versions of OpenSSL before 1.0.2m and 1.1.0g. | ||||
| CVE-2017-7365 | 1 Google | 1 Android | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| In all Android releases from CAF using the Linux kernel, a buffer overread can occur if a particular string is not NULL terminated. | ||||

| dwarf1.c in the Binary File Descriptor (BFD) library (aka libbfd), as distributed in GNU Binutils 2.29, mishandles pointers, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (application crash) or possibly have unspecified other impact via a crafted ELF file, related to parse_die and parse_line_table, as demonstrated by a parse_die heap-based buffer over-read. | ||||
| CVE-2017-3737 | 3 Debian, Openssl, Redhat | 4 Debian Linux, Openssl, Enterprise Linux and 1 more | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| OpenSSL 1.0.2 (starting from version 1.0.2b) introduced an "error state" mechanism. The intent was that if a fatal error occurred during a handshake then OpenSSL would move into the error state and would immediately fail if you attempted to continue the handshake. This works as designed for the explicit handshake functions (SSL_do_handshake(), SSL_accept() and SSL_connect()), however due to a bug it does not work correctly if SSL_read() or SSL_write() is called directly. In that scenario, if the handshake fails then a fatal error will be returned in the initial function call. If SSL_read()/SSL_write() is subsequently called by the application for the same SSL object then it will succeed and the data is passed without being decrypted/encrypted directly from the SSL/TLS record layer. In order to exploit this issue an application bug would have to be present that resulted in a call to SSL_read()/SSL_write() being issued after having already received a fatal error. OpenSSL version 1.0.2b-1.0.2m are affected. Fixed in OpenSSL 1.0.2n. OpenSSL 1.1.0 is not affected. | ||||
