| CVE-2026-76576 | 1 Yangzongzhuan | 1 Ruoyi-vue | 2026-08-19 | 4.3 Medium |
| A vulnerability was found in yangzongzhuan RuoYi-Vue up to 3.9.2. This impacts the function fileDownload/resourceDownload of the file ruoyi-admin/src/main/java/com/ruoyi/web/controller/common/CommonController.java of the component Common Download Endpoint. Performing a manipulation of the argument fileName/resource results in path traversal. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. The exploit has been made public and could be used. The project was informed of the problem early through an issue report but has not responded yet. | ||||
| CVE-2026-62680 | 1 Orval-labs | 1 Orval | 2026-08-19 | 7.1 High |
| Orval generates type-safe JavaScript clients in TypeScript from OpenAPI v3 and Swagger v2 specifications. Prior to 8.22.0, Orval resolves remote and local external $ref values without an allowlist or confinement to the input directory. Processing an attacker-controlled OpenAPI description can cause requests from the developer or CI host to attacker-selected or internal HTTP services, read absolute or out-of-tree local files, and inline untrusted remote schemas into generated clients. The affected code is packages/orval/src/import-specs.ts external reference loading. This issue is fixed in version 8.22.0. | ||||
| CVE-2021-27065 | 1 Microsoft | 1 Exchange Server | 2026-08-19 | 7.8 High |
| Microsoft Exchange Server Remote Code Execution Vulnerability | ||||
| CVE-2026-53457 | 2026-08-19 | N/A | ||
| Blueprint Studio is a VS Code-like file editor for Home Assistant configuration files. Prior to 2.5.2, the legacy stateless terminal command execution path in custom_components/blueprint_studio/backend/terminal_manager.py accepted a cwd working-directory parameter and checked only whether the directory existed, without requiring it to remain inside the Home Assistant configuration directory. An administrator using the restricted terminal helper could select an existing directory outside the intended configuration boundary. Commands could then access or modify host paths permitted by the Home Assistant container and filesystem permissions, weakening the helper's expected filesystem restriction. This issue is fixed in version 2.5.2. | ||||
| CVE-2026-44829 | 1 Gotenberg | 1 Gotenberg | 2026-08-19 | 8.8 High |
| Gotenberg is a Docker-powered stateless API for PDF files. In 8.32.0 and earlier, filename handling in pkg/modules/api/context.go uses filepath.Base on Linux, which does not treat backslashes as path separators, so a multipart filename containing Windows-style parent directory components survives sanitization. The original filename flows through ctx.diskToOriginal and the multi-output PDF routes into archives.FilesFromDisk and archives.Zip.Archive as the generated zip entry name. A remote attacker can submit a name such as ........\Windows\System32\evil.pdf through an upload or an upstream downloadFrom Content-Disposition header, and a Windows archive extractor can write the resulting file outside the intended extraction directory. The affected paths include /forms/pdfengines/split and other multi-output PDF, LibreOffice, and conversion routes, and exploitation can cause arbitrary file writes on a downstream Windows system when a user or process extracts the returned archive. This issue is fixed in version 8.33.0. | ||||
| CVE-2026-76222 | 2 Gitpython-developers, Gitpython Project | 2 Gitpython, Gitpython | 2026-08-19 | 8.2 High |
| GitPython before 3.1.58 fails to validate submodule names from .gitmodules files, allowing attackers to create Git repositories at arbitrary filesystem paths outside the intended clone directory. Attackers can craft malicious repositories with traversal sequences in submodule names that GitPython processes during submodule initialization, creating attacker-controlled Git repositories at escaped filesystem locations. | ||||
| CVE-2026-46343 | 1 Wazuh | 1 Wazuh | 2026-08-19 | N/A |
| Wazuh is a free and open source platform used for threat prevention, detection, and response. From 4.0.0 until 4.14.6 and 5.0.0-beta2, WazuhCommon.end_receiving_file() in framework/wazuh/core/cluster/common.py allows a cluster-authenticated node to delete files outside WAZUH_PATH. A syn_i_w_m_e request with an unknown task_id reaches the cleanup branch, where an attacker-controlled filename is passed to os.path.join without canonicalization or confinement. Absolute paths and traversal sequences can therefore target files such as ossec.conf, jwt_secret.json, TLS certificates, and ruleset files that are accessible to the Wazuh manager process. Deletion can disable the manager, invalidate API tokens, or disrupt cluster and API connectivity. This issue is fixed in versions 4.14.6 and 5.0.0-beta2. | ||||
| CVE-2026-48024 | 1 Wazuh | 1 Wazuh | 2026-08-19 | 9.1 Critical |
| Wazuh is a free and open source platform used for threat prevention, detection, and response. From 4.0.0 until 4.14.6 and 5.0.0-beta3, cluster.unmerge_info() in framework/wazuh/core/cluster/cluster.py constructs paths from peer-controlled merge_type and name values in a merged synchronization archive. process_files_from_worker() in framework/wazuh/core/cluster/master.py does not adequately confine the resulting path to the declared cluster item directory. A cluster peer holding the shared Fernet key can use traversal in files_metadata.json or a merged-file header to write files such as /var/ossec/etc/ossec.conf. Replacing ossec.conf can configure root-executed commands and lead to code execution when Wazuh services reload. This issue is fixed in versions 4.14.6 and 5.0.0-beta3. | ||||
| CVE-2026-76614 | 1 Openemr | 1 Openemr | 2026-08-19 | 4.3 Medium |
| OpenEMR before 8.3.0 contains a path traversal vulnerability in the EDI archive restore function. The archrestore_sel POST parameter is passed to the archive restore handler without sanitization for path traversal sequences. The handler checks whether the supplied path exists on the filesystem, and the differing response messages leak whether the target path exists. An authenticated user with EOB Data Entry permissions can probe arbitrary filesystem paths on the server to determine file existence. | ||||
| CVE-2026-58015 | 2 Gnome, Redhat | 4 Glib, Enterprise Linux, Hardened Images and 1 more | 2026-08-19 | 5.9 Medium |
| A flaw was found in GLib. The D-Bus client-side implementation of the DBUS_COOKIE_SHA1 SASL authentication mechanism does not validate the cookie_context parameter received from the server. A malicious D-Bus server can supply a cookie_context containing path traversal sequences, causing the client to read an arbitrary file and exfiltrate sensitive data by verifying guessed file contents against a generated hash. | ||||
| CVE-2026-14967 | 2 Black Lantern Security, Blacklanternsecurity | 2 Bbot, Bbot | 2026-08-19 | 3.1 Low |
| BBOT's `github_workflows` module could be induced to write a downloaded artifact outside its configured output directory: its path-containment check did not resolve `..`, so a crafted `CODE_REPOSITORY` URL could traverse out of the intended folder. The write is bounded to two directory levels above the output location and its target is determined by the operator's configuration, not the attacker. | ||||
| CVE-2026-52872 | 1 Truelockmc | 1 Streambert | 2026-08-19 | 8.8 High |
| Streambert is a cross-platform Electron Desktop App to stream and download video content. Prior to 2.5.0, the downloadSubtitleFile utility in src/ipc/downloads.js, reached through the run-download IPC channel, accepts a renderer-supplied subtitle url using the file: URI scheme and passes its decoded pathname to fs.copyFileSync. The renderer also controls downloadPath, which determines the destination path. A compromised renderer can therefore copy any file readable by the StreamBERT process into an attacker-chosen writable location, exposing sensitive local data, and can overwrite existing writable files. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.5.0. | ||||
| CVE-2015-7601 | 1 Pcman | 1 Ftp Server | 2026-08-19 | N/A |
| Directory traversal vulnerability in PCMan's FTP Server 2.0.7 allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files via a ..// (dot dot double slash) in a RETR command. | ||||
| CVE-2026-18051 | 2026-08-19 | 10.0 Critical | ||
| The W3 Total Cache WordPress plugin before 2.10.5 does not properly validate the request path it uses to build cache file names, allowing unauthenticated attackers to write a file into any existing directory on the server, inside or outside the web root, overwriting whatever occupies the target name. On Apache, the same flaw overwrites the site's .htaccess files, which breaks the site and can strip hardening rules that other security measures rely on. | ||||
| CVE-2026-17088 | 1 Ibm | 1 I | 2026-08-19 | 4.3 Medium |
| IBM i 7.6, 7.5, 7.4, and 7.3 could allow a remote authenticated attacker to obtain sensitive information due to a path traversal vulnerability. | ||||
| CVE-2020-1082 | 1 Microsoft | 11 Windows 10, Windows 10 1507, Windows 10 1607 and 8 more | 2026-08-19 | 7.8 High |
| An elevation of privilege vulnerability exists in Windows Error Reporting (WER) when WER handles and executes files. The vulnerability could allow elevation of privilege if an attacker can successfully exploit it. An attacker who successfully exploited the vulnerability could gain greater access to sensitive information and system functionality. To exploit the vulnerability, an attacker could run a specially crafted application. The security update addresses the vulnerability by correcting the way that WER handles and executes files. | ||||
| CVE-2026-17071 | 1 Ibm | 1 I | 2026-08-19 | 2.7 Low |
| IBM i 7.6, 7.5, 7.4, and 7.3 could allow a remote authenticated attacker to perform file manipulation due to path traversal. | ||||
| CVE-2026-68922 | 2026-08-19 | 5.5 Medium | ||
| MobSF is a mobile application security testing tool used. Prior to 4.5.1, find_icon_path_zip in mobsf/StaticAnalyzer/views/android/icon_analysis.py uses the Android manifest android:icon value to construct paths under the scan resource directory without rejecting traversal or verifying containment, allowing an authenticated user to upload a crafted ZIP or APK that reads a server file with an ALLOWED_EXTENSIONS suffix, copies it to DWD_DIR as the predictable name -icon., and retrieves it through the /download/ endpoint. The same behavior provides a file-existence oracle through the icon_path report field. This issue is fixed in version 4.5.1. | ||||
| CVE-2026-49253 | 1 Electerm | 1 Electerm | 2026-08-19 | 7.1 High |
| electerm is an open-sourced terminal/ssh/sftp/telnet/serialport/RDP/VNC/Spice/ftp client. Prior to 3.11.11, electerm uses remote-supplied filenames directly with path.join() while receiving Zmodem and Trzsz transfers. In src/app/server/zmodem.js, prepareReceiveFile() joins the filename to the user-selected save path, and in src/app/server/trzsz.js, getUniqueFilePath(), the openSaveFile() callback, and the savedFilePaths mapping construct destinations without sanitization. A malicious SSH server or remote shell can provide a filename containing traversal components such as ../escaped.txt or ../../.bashrc. When the victim accepts the transfer and selects a download directory, electerm can write outside that directory and overwrite files accessible to the desktop user, potentially changing sensitive configuration or impairing availability. This issue is fixed in version 3.11.11. | ||||
| CVE-2026-75855 | 1 Arcadedata | 1 Arcadedb | 2026-08-19 | 8.7 High |
| ArcadeDB versions before 26.8.1 fail to sanitize database names in the POST /api/v1/server endpoint's create database and drop database commands, allowing authenticated root users to write and delete arbitrary files outside the configured database directory. Attackers can supply database names containing ../ sequences to create databases at arbitrary filesystem paths or recursively delete directories the server process can access. | ||||
