In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: qla2xxx: Check valid rport returned by fc_bsg_to_rport() Klocwork reported warning of rport maybe NULL and will be dereferenced. rport returned by call to fc_bsg_to_rport() could be NULL and dereferenced. Check valid rport returned by fc_bsg_to_rport().
CVE-2023-54272 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fs/ntfs3: Fix a possible null-pointer dereference in ni_clear() In a previous commit c1006bd13146, ni->mi.mrec in ni_write_inode() could be NULL, and thus a NULL check is added for this variable. However, in the same call stack, ni->mi.mrec can be also dereferenced in ni_clear(): ntfs_evict_inode(inode) ni_write_inode(inode, ...) ni = ntfs_i(inode); is_rec_inuse(ni->mi.mrec) -> Add a NULL check by previous commit ni_clear(ntfs_i(inode)) is_rec_inuse(ni->mi.mrec) -> No check Thus, a possible null-pointer dereference may exist in ni_clear(). To fix it, a NULL check is added in this function.
CVE-2023-54294 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: md/raid10: fix memleak of md thread In raid10_run(), if setup_conf() succeed and raid10_run() failed before setting 'mddev->thread', then in the error path 'conf->thread' is not freed. Fix the problem by setting 'mddev->thread' right after setup_conf().
CVE-2023-54298 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: thermal: intel: quark_dts: fix error pointer dereference If alloc_soc_dts() fails, then we can just return. Trying to free "soc_dts" will lead to an Oops.
CVE-2023-54309 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tpm: tpm_vtpm_proxy: fix a race condition in /dev/vtpmx creation /dev/vtpmx is made visible before 'workqueue' is initialized, which can lead to a memory corruption in the worst case scenario. Address this by initializing 'workqueue' as the very first step of the driver initialization.
CVE-2025-40031 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tee: fix register_shm_helper() In register_shm_helper(), fix incorrect error handling for a call to iov_iter_extract_pages(). A case is missing for when iov_iter_extract_pages() only got some pages and return a number larger than 0, but not the requested amount. This fixes a possible NULL pointer dereference following a bad input from ioctl(TEE_IOC_SHM_REGISTER) where parts of the buffer isn't mapped.
CVE-2023-54034 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iommufd: Make sure to zero vfio_iommu_type1_info before copying to user Missed a zero initialization here. Most of the struct is filled with a copy_from_user(), however minsz for that copy is smaller than the actual struct by 8 bytes, thus we don't fill the padding.
CVE-2023-54311 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ext4: fix deadlock when converting an inline directory in nojournal mode In no journal mode, ext4_finish_convert_inline_dir() can self-deadlock by calling ext4_handle_dirty_dirblock() when it already has taken the directory lock. There is a similar self-deadlock in ext4_incvert_inline_data_nolock() for data files which we'll fix at the same time. A simple reproducer demonstrating the problem: mke2fs -Fq -t ext2 -O inline_data -b 4k /dev/vdc 64 mount -t ext4 -o dirsync /dev/vdc /vdc cd /vdc mkdir file0 cd file0 touch file0 touch file1 attr -s BurnSpaceInEA -V abcde . touch supercalifragilisticexpialidocious
CVE-2023-54314 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: af9005: Fix null-ptr-deref in af9005_i2c_xfer In af9005_i2c_xfer, msg is controlled by user. When msg[i].buf is null and msg[i].len is zero, former checks on msg[i].buf would be passed. Malicious data finally reach af9005_i2c_xfer. If accessing msg[i].buf[0] without sanity check, null ptr deref would happen. We add check on msg[i].len to prevent crash. Otherwise they will be lost. In this case an AUTOFS_IOC_EXPIRE_MULTI ioctl is done, then a new waitqueue struct is allocated in autofs_wait(), its initial wait_ctr equals 2. After that wait_event_killable() is interrupted (it returns -ERESTARTSYS), so that 'wq->name.name == NULL' condition may be not satisfied. Actually, this condition can be satisfied when autofs_wait_release() or autofs_catatonic_mode() is called and, what is also important, wait_ctr is decremented in those places. Upon the exit of autofs_wait(), wait_ctr is decremented to 1. Then the unmounting process begins: kill_sb calls autofs_catatonic_mode(), which should have freed the waitqueues, but it only decrements its usage counter to zero which is not a correct behaviour. edit:imk This description is of course not correct. The umount performed as a result of an expire is a umount of a mount that has been automounted, it's not the autofs mount itself. They happen independently, usually after everything mounted within the autofs file system has been expired away. If everything hasn't been expired away the automount daemon can still exit leaving mounts in place. But expires done in both cases will result in a notification that calls autofs_wait_release() with a result status. The problem case is the summary execution of of the automount daemon. In this case any waiting processes won't be woken up until either they are terminated or the mount is umounted. end edit: imk So in catatonic mode we should free waitqueues which counter becomes zero. edit: imk Initially I was concerned that the calling of autofs_wait_release() and autofs_catatonic_mode() was not mutually exclusive but that can't be the case (obviously) because the queue entry (or entries) is removed from the list when either of these two functions are called. Consequently the wait entry will be freed by only one of these functions or by the woken process in autofs_wait() depending on the order of the calls. end edit: imk
CVE-2022-50742 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: misc: ocxl: fix possible refcount leak in afu_ioctl() eventfd_ctx_put need to be called to put the refcount that gotten by eventfd_ctx_fdget when ocxl_irq_set_handler fails.
CVE-2023-53845 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-04-15 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nilfs2: fix infinite loop in nilfs_mdt_get_block() If the disk image that nilfs2 mounts is corrupted and a virtual block address obtained by block lookup for a metadata file is invalid, nilfs_bmap_lookup_at_level() may return the same internal return code as -ENOENT, meaning the block does not exist in the metadata file. This duplication of return codes confuses nilfs_mdt_get_block(), causing it to read and create a metadata block indefinitely. In particular, if this happens to the inode metadata file, ifile, semaphore i_rwsem can be left held, causing task hangs in lock_mount. Fix this issue by making nilfs_bmap_lookup_at_level() treat virtual block address translation failures with -ENOENT as metadata corruption instead of returning the error code.

As commit 131294c35ed6 fixed delayed allocation bug in ext4_clu_mapped for bigalloc + inline. But it only resolved issue when has inline data, if inline data has been converted to extent(ext4_da_convert_inline_data_to_extent) before writepages, there is no EXT4_STATE_MAY_INLINE_DATA flag. However i_data is still store inline data in this scene. Then will trigger UAF when find extent. To resolve above issue, there is need to add judge "ext4_has_inline_data(inode)" in ext4_clu_mapped().
