| OpenEXR is the reference implementation and specification for the EXR image format, widely used in the motion picture industry. In versions before 3.2.11, 3.3.0 through 3.3.12, and 3.4.0 through 3.4.13, a crafted tiled EXR can trigger a heap out-of-bounds write on 32-bit/ILP32 builds when read through the public TiledRgbaInputFile RGBA API. The file uses a small 40x40 dataWindow but a 65537x65537 tile size. On ILP32, the Array2D<Rgba> tile-conversion buffer size calculation overflows, allocates a much smaller heap buffer, and tile decode writes past that allocation. This issue is fixed in versions 3.2.11, 3.3.13, and 3.4.14. | ||||

In versions 3.1.0 through 3.2.10, 3.3.0 through 3.3.12, and 3.4.0 through 3.4.13, an int32_t multiplication in OpenEXRCore's unpack_sample_table() can overflow while decoding a crafted deep tiled EXR file, producing an invalid pointer that leads to a read from an unmapped memory address and a crash. Because the overflow occurs in the standard decoding path (exr_decoding_run), any application that decodes deep tiled EXR files is affected. This issue is fixed in versions 3.2.11, 3.3.13, and 3.4.14. | ||||

This occurs with pixel conversion options such as --pixelmode float or --bench because DeepSlice requests FLOAT output while the backing sample buffers are allocated using the input HALF element size. The issue is fixed in versions 3.3.13 and 3.4.14. | ||||

| Libevent is an event notification library. Prior to 2.1.13 and 2.2.2-alpha, libevent has an off-by-one stack buffer overflow in evdns.c when dnsname_to_labels formats a name-bearing DNS record at the end of the 64 KB stack buffer allocated by evdns_server_request_format_response. The final-label check permits j plus label_len plus one to equal buf_len, after which the terminating null byte is written to buf[buf_len]. A crafted DNS server response containing PTR, CNAME, MX, NS, or SOA data can trigger the one-byte out-of-bounds write and crash or corrupt the process. This issue is fixed in versions 2.1.13 and 2.2.2-alpha. | ||||

| A flaw was found in sblim-sfcb. A local attacker with access to the system can exploit an unsafe deserialization vulnerability in the provider-manager's inter-process communication (IPC) message parsing. By sending a specially crafted message, the attacker can cause out-of-bounds memory access, leading to the termination of the provider-manager process and a denial of service. | OpenEXR is the reference implementation and specification for the EXR image format, widely used in the motion picture industry. From version 3.4.0 through 3.4.13, a crafted HTJ2K-compressed EXR can crash OpenEXR during normal decode. An HTJ2K-compressed EXR whose JPEG 2000 SIZ fields place the first tile outside the visible image can reach invalid tile and codeblock geometry in the vendored OpenJPH AVX2 decoder, causing a stack out-of-bounds write and denial of service. OpenEXR's HTJ2K path validates the decoded codestream dimensions against the EXR chunk size, but it does not reject SIZ image-offset/tile-grid geometry where the first tile does not intersect the image. This issue is fixed in version 3.4.14. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xsk: require at least 16 bytes of TX metadata AF_XDP accepts a TX metadata length as small as eight bytes, but every supported request needs the flags plus at least one eight-byte request field. Such short metadata also lets the kernel read beyond the registered area. Require 16 bytes rather than sizeof(struct xsk_tx_metadata) to preserve compatibility with applications that do not use launch-time metadata. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/ncsi: fix heap OOB read in NCSI_CMD_SEND_CMD payload length ncsi_send_cmd_nl() takes the number of bytes to copy from the attacker-controlled ncsi_pkt_hdr.length field of the in-band packet header, while the source buffer is the NCSI_ATTR_DATA netlink attribute whose readable size is nla_len() - sizeof(ncsi_pkt_hdr). The two length sources are never cross-checked: only nla_len() >= sizeof(struct ncsi_pkt_hdr) is enforced. With hdr->length set larger than the attribute payload (up to 65535 against at most 2032 readable bytes), ncsi_cmd_handler_oem() copies past the end of the netlink attribute buffer with unsafe_memcpy(), leaking up to ~64KB of kernel heap memory into the transmitted NCSI command packet. The destination skb is sized by the declared payload, so the write side does not overflow - this is a pure OOB read / information leak, reachable with CAP_NET_ADMIN on systems with a registered NCSI device (e.g. OpenBMC on Aspeed BMC SoCs, where NET_NCSI=y is standard). Reject commands whose declared payload extends past the end of the data attribute. The issue was found by the autokbug dynamic kernel fuzzer at Tencent Yunding Lab. | ||||
