CVSS v3.1 |
The Linux kernel 2.6.20 and 2.6.21 does not properly handle an invalid LDT segment selector in %cs (the xcs field) during ptrace single-step operations, which allows local users to cause a denial of service (NULL dereference and OOPS) via certain code that makes ptrace PTRACE_SETREGS and PTRACE_SINGLESTEP requests, related to the TRACE_IRQS_ON function, and possibly related to the arch_ptrace function.
A certain Fedora patch for the utrace subsystem in the Linux kernel before 2.6.26.5-28 on Fedora 8, and before 2.6.26.5-45 on Fedora 9, allows local users to cause a denial of service (NULL pointer dereference and system crash or hang) via a call to the utrace_control function.
The Linux kernel before 2.6.25.10 does not properly perform tty operations, which allows local users to cause a denial of service (system crash) or possibly gain privileges via vectors involving NULL pointer dereference of function pointers in (1) hamradio/6pack.c, (2) hamradio/mkiss.c, (3) irda/irtty-sir.c, (4) ppp_async.c, (5) ppp_synctty.c, (6) slip.c, (7) wan/x25_asy.c, and (8) wireless/strip.c in drivers/net/.
Array index error in the insertItemBefore method in WebKit, as used in Apple Safari before 3.2.3 and 4 Public Beta, iPhone OS 1.0 through 2.2.1, iPhone OS for iPod touch 1.1 through 2.2.1, Google Chrome Stable before 1.0.154.65, and possibly other products allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a document with a SVGPathList data structure containing a negative index in the (1) SVGTransformList, (2) SVGStringList, (3) SVGNumberList, (4) SVGPathSegList, (5) SVGPointList, or (6) SVGLengthList SVGList object, which triggers memory corruption.
The kvm_arch_vcpu_ioctl_set_sregs function in the KVM in Linux kernel 2.6 before 2.6.30, when running on x86 systems, does not validate the page table root in a KVM_SET_SREGS call, which allows local users to cause a denial of service (crash or hang) via a crafted cr3 value, which triggers a NULL pointer dereference in the gfn_to_rmap function.
FileZilla Server before 0.9.22 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) via a wildcard argument to the (1) LIST or (2) NLST commands, which results in a NULL pointer dereference, a different set of vectors than CVE-2006-6564. NOTE: CVE analysis suggests that the problem might be due to a malformed PORT command.
The dtls1_retrieve_buffered_fragment function in ssl/d1_both.c in OpenSSL before 1.0.0 Beta 2 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (NULL pointer dereference and daemon crash) via an out-of-sequence DTLS handshake message, related to a "fragment bug."
GNU Binutils thru 2.46 readelf contains a vulnerability that leads to an invalid pointer free when processing a crafted ELF binary with malformed relocation or symbol data. If dump_relocations returns early due to parsing errors, the internal all_relocations array may remain partially uninitialized. Later, process_got_section_contents() may attempt to free an invalid r_symbol pointer, triggering memory corruption checks in glibc and causing the program to terminate with SIGABRT. No evidence of further memory corruption or code execution was observed; the impact is limited to denial of service. NOTE: this is disputed by third parties because the observed behavior occurred only in pre-release code and did not affect any tagged version.
Null pointer dereference in Windows Remote Access Connection Manager allows an unauthorized attacker to deny service locally.
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
PCI: endpoint: Avoid creating sub-groups asynchronously
The asynchronous creation of sub-groups by a delayed work could lead to a
NULL pointer dereference when the driver directory is removed before the
work completes.
The crash can be easily reproduced with the following commands:
# cd /sys/kernel/config/pci_ep/functions/pci_epf_test
# for i in {1..20}; do mkdir test && rmdir test; done
BUG: kernel NULL pointer dereference, address: 0000000000000088
...
Call Trace:
configfs_register_group+0x3d/0x190
pci_epf_cfs_work+0x41/0x110
process_one_work+0x18f/0x350
worker_thread+0x25a/0x3a0
Fix this issue by using configfs_add_default_group() API which does not
have the deadlock problem as configfs_register_group() and does not require
the delayed work handler.

The JavaScript engine did not handle closed generators correctly and it was possible to resume them leading to a nullptr deref. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 141, Firefox ESR 115.26, Firefox ESR 128.13, Firefox ESR 140.1, Thunderbird 141, Thunderbird 128.13, and Thunderbird 140.1.
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ksmbd: fix null pointer dereference error in generate_encryptionkey
If client send two session setups with krb5 authenticate to ksmbd,
null pointer dereference error in generate_encryptionkey could happen.
sess->Preauth_HashValue is set to NULL if session is valid.
So this patch skip generate encryption key if session is valid. |
Vba32 Antivirus v3.36.0 is vulnerable to a Denial of Service vulnerability by triggering the 0x2220A7 IOCTL code of the Vba32m64.sys driver.
Null pointer dereference in Windows Client-Side Caching (CSC) Service allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally.
Null pointer dereference in Windows DirectX allows an authorized attacker to deny service locally.
Null pointer dereference in Windows DirectX allows an authorized attacker to deny service locally.
iccDEV provides a set of libraries and tools for working with ICC color management profiles. Prior to version 2.3.1.6, there is an Undefined Behavior (UB) issue in IccTagLut.cpp where the code performs member access through a null pointer of type CIccApplyCLUT. This issue has been patched in version 2.3.1.6.
iccDEV provides a set of libraries and tools for working with ICC color management profiles. Prior to version 2.3.1.6, a null-pointer dereference (NPD) in CIccTagLut16::Write() can be triggered when processing a crafted ICC profile (embedded in a TIFF and extracted during iccTiffDump). This issue has been patched in version 2.3.1.6.
iccDEV provides a set of libraries and tools for working with ICC color management profiles. Prior to version 2.3.1.6, a crafted ICC profile can trigger Undefined Behavior (UB) via a null-pointer member call in CIccCombinedConnectionConditions::CIccCombinedConnectionConditions() (reported by UBSan as “member call on null pointer of type CIccTagSpectralViewingConditions”). The issue is reachable when running iccApplyNamedCmm with -PCC using a malformed .icc profile. This issue has been patched in version 2.3.1.6.
Ella Core is a 5G core designed for private networks. Versions prior to 1.7.0 panic when processing Authentication Response and Authentication Failure NAS message missing IEs. An attacker able to send crafted NAS messages to Ella Core can crash the process, causing service disruption for all connected subscribers. No authentication is required. Version 1.7.0 added IE presence verification to NAS message handling.
