CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
fs/proc/task_mmu: do not warn on seeing non-migration pmd entry
Patch series "mm/hmm: A fix and a selftest", v3.
Patch 1 fixes a stale warning present from the time when only migration
softleaf entries were supported at the PMD level.
Patch 2 adds some code into hmm-tests.c which exercises the pagemap path
for PMD device-private entries.
This patch (of 2):
pagemap_pmd_range_thp() warns if a non-present PMD is not a migration
entry. This became false once device-private entries at the PMD level
were added.
Therefore, remove the stale migration-only assertion. |
| A vulnerability was detected in Open5GS up to 2.7.6. Affected is the function diam_log_func of the file lib/diameter/common/init.c of the component CER Handler. The manipulation results in reachable assertion. The attack can be executed remotely. The exploit is now public and may be used. Upgrading to version 2.7.7 is able to address this issue. The patch is identified as c1a803516a3c0485696cb9bcca7a80ad857c7383. It is advisable to upgrade the affected component. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
wifi: iwlwifi: mvm: fix driver-set TX rates on old devices
On old devices such as 7265D, rates are still encoded in version 1
format, which doesn't use the CCK/OFDM rate index (0-3/0-7) but
rather their PLCP value (e.g. 10 for 1 Mbps CCK rate.)
While introducing v3 rates, I changed the driver from internally
handling v1 rates and converting to v2, to internally handling v3
and converting to v1 or v2 according to the firmware. I accordingly
changed the code in iwl_mvm_mac80211_idx_to_hwrate() to no longer
have different values for different APIs. This was correct.
However, I later reverted this part of the change, because it was
reported that I had broken beacon rates, causing a FW assert/crash.
This caused TX_CMD rates to be set incorrectly, potentially causing
a warning when reported back from the device as having been used.
Fix this (hopefully correctly now) by handling beacon rates in the
TX_CMD that's embedded in the beacon template command separately.
Restore iwl_mvm_mac80211_idx_to_hwrate() to return only the rate
index, not PLCP value, fixing the real TX_CMD. |
| baseline-browser-mapping 2.x before 2.11.0 calls process.exit() instead of throwing on invalid or conflicting input parameters, and can trigger immediate process termination, causing denial of service. |

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
NTB: epf: Avoid pci_iounmap() with offset when PEER_SPAD and CONFIG share BAR
When BAR_PEER_SPAD and BAR_CONFIG share one PCI BAR, the module teardown
path ends up calling pci_iounmap() on the same iomem with some offset,
which is unnecessary and triggers a kernel warning like the following:

Fix it by unmapping only when PEER_SPAD and CONFIG use difference bars. |
| A vulnerability in the software cryptography module of Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) Software and Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) Software could allow an authenticated, remote attacker or an unauthenticated attacker in a man-in-the-middle position to cause an unexpected reload of the device that results in a denial of service (DoS) condition. The vulnerability is due to a logic error in how the software cryptography module handles specific types of decryption errors. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending malicious packets over an established IPsec connection. A successful exploit could cause the device to crash, forcing it to reload. Important: Successful exploitation of this vulnerability would not cause a compromise of any encrypted data. Note: This vulnerability affects only Cisco ASA Software Release 9.16.1 and Cisco FTD Software Release 7.0.0. |
| A flaw was found in claircore's RPM package scanner. Crafted RPM header data in a container layer can cause an unchecked type assertion to panic the scanner. The panic is not recovered, causing the Clair indexer process to crash, leading to a denial of service. |
| Improper validation of packet length during tls-crypt-v2 key extraction in OpenVPN 2.6.0 through 2.6.19 and 2.7_alpha1 through 2.7.1 allows authenticated attackers to trigger a fatal assertion and cause a denial of service via a specially crafted packet. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ice: fix PTP Call Trace during PTP release
If a PF reset occurs when the PTP state is ICE_PTP_UNINIT, then
ice_ptp_rebuild() will update the state to ICE_PTP_ERROR. This will
result in the following PTP release call trace during driver unload:
kernel BUG at lib/list_debug.c:52!
ice_ptp_release+0x332/0x3c0 [ice]
ice_deinit_features.part.0+0x10e/0x120 [ice]
ice_remove+0x100/0x220 [ice]
This was observed when passing PF1 through to a VM. ice_ptp_init()
fails because ctrl_pf is NULL and sets the state to ICE_PTP_UNINIT.
Fix by detecting the ICE_PTP_UNINIT state in ice_ptp_rebuild() and
returning without error, preventing the invalid state transition to
ICE_PTP_ERROR. The only valid path to ICE_PTP_ERROR is from
ICE_PTP_RESETTING after a failed rebuild. |
| node-re2 provides RE2 regular expression bindings for Node.js. Prior to version 1.25.1, the WrappedRE2::Replace function built its replacement result and passed it to V8 using ToLocalChecked without checking for the empty MaybeLocal that V8 returns when the resulting string or buffer exceeds V8's maximum string length. When a global replace uses an output amplifying replacement template, the result can grow quadratically with the input size, and once the result exceeds V8's maximum string length, the unchecked ToLocalChecked call causes a fatal, uncatchable process abort instead of a catchable exception. This issue is fixed in version 1.25.1. |
| A flaw in Node.js allows a spoofed `TypedArray` `byteLength` to trigger a reachable assertion in the synchronous `node:zlib` APIs, causing the entire process to crash. All 11 synchronous zlib functions are affected.
Repeated exploitation of this condition can result in a denial of service.
This vulnerability affects Node.js **22.x**, **24.x**, and **26.x**. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
btrfs: don't readahead the relocation inode on RST
On relocation we're doing readahead on the relocation inode, but if the
filesystem is backed by a RAID stripe tree we can get ENOENT (e.g. due to
preallocated extents not being mapped in the RST) from the lookup.
But readahead doesn't handle the error and submits invalid reads to the
device, causing an assertion in the scatter-gather list code:
BTRFS info (device nvme1n1): balance: start -d -m -s
BTRFS info (device nvme1n1): relocating block group 6480920576 flags data|raid0

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
btrfs: don't BUG_ON() when 0 reference count at btrfs_lookup_extent_info()
Instead of doing a BUG_ON() handle the error by returning -EUCLEAN,
aborting the transaction and logging an error message. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
sock_map: avoid race between sock_map_close and sk_psock_put
sk_psock_get will return NULL if the refcount of psock has gone to 0, which
will happen when the last call of sk_psock_put is done. However,
sk_psock_drop may not have finished yet, so the close callback will still
point to sock_map_close despite psock being NULL.
This can be reproduced with a thread deleting an element from the sock map,
while the second one creates a socket, adds it to the map and closes it.
That will trigger the WARN_ON_ONCE:

Use sk_psock, which will only check that the pointer is not been set to
NULL yet, which should only happen after the callbacks are restored. If,
then, a reference can still be gotten, we may call sk_psock_stop and cancel
psock->work.
As suggested by Paolo Abeni, reorder the condition so the control flow is
less convoluted.
After that change, the reproducer does not trigger the WARN_ON_ONCE
anymore. |
