CVSS v3.1 |
LaraDashboard versions 0.9.2 through 1.2.2 contain a path traversal vulnerability in the core-upgrade backup handling. CoreUpgradeController and BackupService (e.g. BackupService::deleteBackup()) concatenate the user-supplied backup_file/filename value directly onto the backup directory path without normalisation, without applying basename(), and without verifying that the resolved path remains inside storage/app/core-backups; the corresponding form requests only validate the value as a bounded string. An authenticated user holding only the delegated settings.edit permission (not Superadmin) can supply ../ traversal sequences to delete arbitrary files reachable on the host filesystem, including outside the application tree, or to restore a ZIP archive from an arbitrary on-disk location, writing arbitrary files into the application directories and achieving remote code execution. Note: the advisory states the vulnerable concatenation was introduced in the v0.9.7 release line. No patched version was available at the time of publication.
GitPython 3.1.59 fails to restrict the --no-index option in the high-level diff API, allowing attackers to read arbitrary filesystem paths as repository operands. Attackers can combine --no-index with -I/--ignore-matching-lines to create a content-dependent Boolean oracle, repeatedly querying local files to recover single-line secrets through distinguishable success or error responses.
Dell SCG 5.0 Appliance versions prior to 5.36.00.16 and Dell SCG 5.0 Application versions prior to 5.36.00.00, contains an Incorrect Permission Assignment for Critical Resource vulnerability. A low privileged attacker with local access could potentially exploit this vulnerability, leading to unauthorized access.
Wazuh is a free and open source platform used for threat prevention, detection, and response. From 4.0.0 until 4.14.6 and 5.0.0-beta3, DistributedAPI.send_tmp_file() in framework/wazuh/core/cluster/dapi/dapi.py joins an attacker-controlled tmp_file value to WAZUH_PATH without canonicalization or confinement. A cluster peer holding the shared Fernet key can use traversal or an absolute path to make the master return any readable file over the cluster channel. Reading /var/ossec/api/configuration/security/private_key.pem allows the peer to forge administrator REST API tokens offline and then exercise administrative privileges without creating an account. This issue is fixed in versions 4.14.6 and 5.0.0-beta3.
Wazuh is a free and open source platform used for threat prevention, detection, and response. From 4.3.0 until 4.14.6 and 5.0.0-beta3, the non-merged branch of process_files_from_worker() in framework/wazuh/core/cluster/master.py trusts a peer-controlled file_path key from files_metadata.json. The destination is joined to WAZUH_PATH without proving that it remains inside the directory selected by cluster_item_key. A cluster peer holding the shared Fernet key can upload a crafted extra-valid archive and overwrite security-sensitive files such as /var/ossec/etc/ossec.conf. Replacing ossec.conf can configure root-executed commands and lead to code execution after a service reload. This issue is fixed in versions 4.14.6 and 5.0.0-beta3.
Incorrect Permission Assignment for Critical Resource in the configuration loader of Duplicati for Windows versions before v2.4.0.0 allows a local low-privileged attacker to escalate privileges to NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM via an attacker-controlled preload.json file.
DeepWiki-Open through commit d92819a contains an arbitrary file read vulnerability in the unauthenticated /ws/chat WebSocket endpoint that accepts repo_url as a filesystem path with no containment. Attackers can supply arbitrary directory paths to read all files with supported extensions including Python, JavaScript, YAML, and JSON files containing hardcoded secrets and credentials.
IBM DataStage on Cloud Pak for Data 5.4.0.0 IBM DataStage could allow a remote authenticated attacker to perform an arbitrary file write due to improper validation of file paths.
Grav versions before 1.10.55 contain a path traversal vulnerability in the admin plugin's Save As action that fails to validate the language code parameter. An authenticated admin user with admin.pages.create permission can supply directory traversal sequences in the lang POST field to write arbitrary .md files outside the pages directory with attacker-controlled content.
A flaw was found in PCS (Pacemaker Configuration System). A local attacker with membership in the 'haclient' group can exploit the 'pcs host auth --token' command to read the contents of arbitrary files on the filesystem, provided the files are shorter than 256 bytes. The file contents are read with root privileges by the pcsd daemon and can be exfiltrated by the attacker through subsequent cluster node communication. This allows disclosure of sensitive data such as API keys, tokens, or configuration secrets that would otherwise be inaccessible to the attacker.
SiYuan versions before v3.8.2 contain a path traversal vulnerability in the /api/riff/removeRiffDeck endpoint that fails to validate the deckID parameter. An authenticated administrator can supply path traversal sequences to delete arbitrary .deck and .cards files outside the workspace directory.
An arbitrary file access vulnerability in Mistral Vibe allows an attacker to bypass workspace restrictions through commands classified as unconditionally allowed. Missing path validation for these commands enables access to files outside the active workspace without user approval.
The CODE MONKEYS PROPOSALS WordPress plugin through 1.0.1 does not validate a user-supplied file path before deleting a file, and does not check the capability of the user making the request, allowing any authenticated user, such as a subscriber, to delete arbitrary files on the server, which can lead to a site takeover.
knowns versions before 0.31.0 fail to properly validate the x-opencode-directory request header in the /api/opencode proxy endpoint. Remote attackers can supply arbitrary directory paths to execute file operations outside the project root on the host system.
External control of file name or path in Microsoft Edge (Chromium-based) allows an unauthorized attacker to perform spoofing over a network.
An issue was discovered in OpenStack Nova before 30.2.2, 31 before 31.2.1, and 32 before 32.1.1. By writing a malicious QCOW header to a root or ephemeral disk and then triggering a resize, a user may convince Nova's Flat image backend to call qemu-img without a format restriction, resulting in an unsafe image resize operation that could destroy data on the host system. Only compute nodes using the Flat image backend (usually configured with use_cow_images=False) are affected.
psd-tools is a Python package for working with Adobe Photoshop PSD files. Prior to version 1.17.1, `SmartObject.save()` writes an embedded smart object to a path taken verbatim from the PSD file. Because that name is attacker-controlled and unsanitised, a tool that extracts embedded objects from an untrusted `.psd` can be made to write attacker-chosen bytes to an attacker-chosen path (absolute or `../`-traversing), outside its intended output directory. A secondary issue in `SmartObject.open()` for external-kind smart objects allows the attacker-controlled `fullPath` descriptor to be used as an arbitrary file read path, enabling exfiltration of the read content to the controlled write destination. Both issues are fixed in v1.17.1.
OPNsense is a FreeBSD based firewall and routing platform. Prior to version 26.1.9 of opnsense/core and version 26.4_20 of BE/opnsense/core, a path traversal vulnerability in the NTP configuration module allows an attacker to overwrite arbitrary files on the system as the root user. By manipulating the GPS or PPS serial port parameter, an attacker with access to the NTP configuration can escape the intended directory and force the system to write user-controlled data to any file on the filesystem. Version 26.1.9 of opnsense/core and version 26.4_20 of BE/opnsense/core patch the issue.
n8n is an open source workflow automation platform. Prior to 1.123.76, 2.37.7, and 2.38.2, the Git node validated the repository parameter for fetch or pull, but setUpstream wrote a branch..remote value into repository configuration without validating it. A later fetch or pull resolved the remote from that configuration instead of the checked parameter. An authenticated workflow editor could therefore point Git at any local repository readable by the n8n process and receive its contents through packages/nodes-base/nodes/Git/GenericFunctions.ts. This issue is fixed in versions 1.123.76, 2.37.7 and 2.38.2.
| Incorrect Permission Assignment for Critical Resource vulnerability in TÜBİTAK BİLGEM Software Technologies Research Institute Pardus LightDM Greeter allows Exploiting Incorrectly Configured Access Control Security Levels.
This issue affects Pardus LightDM Greeter: before 0.4.15. |
