CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
KVM: s390: Fix old_data leak in guest debug error path
__import_wp_info() allocates a per-watchpoint old_data buffer to back up
the original guest memory contents. If a later watchpoint of the same
KVM_SET_GUEST_DEBUG request fails to import, kvm_s390_import_bp_data()
jumps to the error label, which frees the wp_info array but not the
old_data buffers of the entries that were imported successfully. Up to
MAX_BP_COUNT - 1 buffers of up to MAX_WP_SIZE bytes are leaked per failed
request, and the request can be repeated.
Create error handling for cleaning up all created old_data memory
areas. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
KVM: s390: Fix memory leak in guest debug handling
bp_data is freed only for the error case by kfree(bp_data).
Every successful KVM_SET_GUEST_DEBUG will leak bp_data. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
media: chips-media: wave5: Add timeout while stop_streaming
When stop_streaming is called, an infinite loop may occur in some cases.
Add a bounded poll of the queue status: loop until the queues drain,
sleeping briefly between polls, and bail out once VPU_DEC_STOP_TIMEOUT
elapses. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
media: rtl2832_sdr: release URBs and stream buffers on start_streaming() failure
rtl2832_sdr_start_streaming() calls rtl2832_sdr_alloc_stream_bufs(),
rtl2832_sdr_alloc_urbs() and rtl2832_sdr_submit_urbs() in sequence and
shares a single err: label that only unlocks the mutex and returns.
When alloc_urbs() succeeds but submit_urbs() fails, or when alloc_urbs()
itself returns -ENOMEM after alloc_stream_bufs() has already succeeded,
the URBs and/or the coherent DMA stream buffers stay allocated while
streaming reports failure to vb2. Two latent defects follow on the next
VIDIOC_STREAMON:
1) rtl2832_sdr_alloc_stream_bufs() unconditionally resets dev->buf_num
to 0 and overwrites dev->buf_list[]/dev->dma_addr[], permanently
leaking the coherent DMA memory allocated by the previous attempt.
2) rtl2832_sdr_alloc_urbs() never resets dev->urbs_initialized and only
increments it. After a second successful pass urbs_initialized can
exceed MAX_BULK_BUFS, so the subsequent rtl2832_sdr_free_urbs() walks
from urbs_initialized - 1 down to 0 and reads past the end of
dev->urb_list[], passing garbage pointers to usb_free_urb().
Mirror the teardown that stop_streaming() already performs: on the error
path call rtl2832_sdr_free_urbs() and rtl2832_sdr_free_stream_bufs()
before unlocking. Both helpers are idempotent (free_urbs kills and zeros
urbs_initialized; free_stream_bufs is gated on URB_BUF and clears the
buf_num counter), so partial-failure paths and the no-allocation paths
remain safe.

| Nozomi Networks Labs identified a CWE-400: Uncontrolled Resource Consumption vulnerability in the OPC UA gateway component of Advantech EKI-1242EIMS in firmware version V1.06.01 that allows an adjacent unauthenticated attacker to exhaust the server session pool and cause a complete denial of service to all legitimate OPC UA clients by opening multiple anonymous sessions. |
| A remote attacker could cause excessive resource consumption by supplying specially crafted request parameters, potentially resulting in a denial of service condition.
Older unsupported versions may also be affected.
Users are recommended to upgrade to versions 2.3.12, 2.3-next-M9, 3.0.4, 4.0.4, or 4.1.4, which fix this issue. |
| A flaw has been found in Freedesktop Poppler 26.07.0. Impacted is the function JBIG2Stream::rewind of the file poppler/JBIG2Stream.cc. This manipulation causes null pointer dereference. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. The exploit has been published and may be used. Upgrading to version 26.08.0 is recommended to address this issue. Patch name: 5e49250f13b0390edeb3f90eb4c02c9941f97067. Upgrading the affected component is advised. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
media: cec: core: Fix kmemleak due to missed rc_free_device() call
The commit dccc0c3ddf8f ("media: rc: fix race between unregister and
urb/irq callbacks") removed the implicit call to rc_free_device() from
rc_unregister_device(). However, the commit missed to remove the NULL
assignment of adap->rc that is now causing rc_free_device() to never be
called on an allocated rc device.
kmemleak reports following after e.g. dw-hdmi unbind:

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
samples/damon/wsse: handle damon_start() failure
Patch series "samples/damon: handle damon_{start,stop}() failures".
All DAMON sample modules are not correctly handling failures from
damon_start(). Among those, mtier also has an additional problem for
handling of damon_stop() failures. wsse and prcl also have a problem in
their damon_call() failure handling. As a result, memory leaks, next
DAMON operation disruptions, and use-after-free can happen. Fix those.
Note that only the damon_start() failure caused issues can reliably be
reproduced. Reproducing those issues require the admin permission,
though.
This patch (of 6):
damon_sample_wsse_start() callers assume it will clean up resources when
it fails. And the function does the cleanup for context buildup failures.
However, it is not doing the cleanup for damon_start() failure. As a
result, when damon_start() fails, it leaks the memory for DAMON context.
Free the context in case of the failure to fix the issues.
Note that the issue can reliably be reproduced because the module calls
damon_start() in the exclusive mode. For example,
$ sudo damo start
$ echo $$ | sudo tee /sys/module/damon_sample_wsse/parameters/target_pid
$ echo Y | sudo tee /sys/module/damon_sample_wsse/parameters/enabled
$ sudo cat /proc/allocinfo | grep damon_new_ctx
Because the first command is running another DAMON instance, the third
command fails the damon_start() call because the new DAMON instance cannot
exclusively run. And without this fix, by repeating the third and the
fourth commands above, we can show the memory consumption is only
increasing due to the leaks. It requires the sudo permission though.
The issue was discovered [1] by Sashiko. |
| Nodemailer before 9.1.0 contains a quadratic time complexity vulnerability in the addressparser component that allows remote attackers to cause denial of service by supplying a crafted comma-separated address list. Attackers can send a single email with a large number of addresses to block the Node.js event loop for extended periods, consuming 100% CPU and freezing the process. |
| A vulnerability was determined in O-RAN-SC SMO OAM 2025-06-10. Affected by this issue is some unknown functionality of the component VES Collector. Executing a manipulation can lead to allocation of resources. The attack may be launched remotely. The exploit has been publicly disclosed and may be utilized. The project was informed of the problem early through a bug report but has not responded yet. |

| vm2 before 3.11.7 (affected versions <= 3.11.6) does not enforce the VM({ timeout }) option on code executed outside the synchronous VM#run() call. The timeout only wraps the single call to _runScript() via doWithTimeout() in lib/vm.js, and FinalizationRegistry and WeakRef are exposed to sandboxed code unmodified (they are not among the hardened globals in lib/setup-sandbox.js). Sandboxed code can register a FinalizationRegistry cleanup callback against an object and then drop the only strong reference to it; vm.run() returns within the configured timeout, but when the V8 garbage collector later reclaims the object it invokes the sandboxed cleanup callback outside any vm2 timeout accounting. A busy loop in that callback blocks the host event loop for an unbounded period, resulting in denial of service. The time of invocation depends on the garbage collector (e.g. under memory pressure or with --expose-gc). |
| OpenTelemetry-Go is the Go implementation of OpenTelemetry. Prior to version 0.21.0, the go.opentelemetry.io/otel/sdk/log BatchingProcessor can enter a tight CPU loop when attacker-driven log emission fills its asynchronous export buffer while the exporter is backpressured. NewBatchingProcessor wraps the exporter with newBufferExporter(exporter, 1), and the poll loop calls queue.TryDequeue and bufferExporter.EnqueueExport before immediately signaling pollTrigger whenever the queue remains at or above batchSize. Because a failed nonblocking EnqueueExport leaves the queue length unchanged, the processor repeatedly retries without waiting for its ticker, exhausting CPU and degrading or denying service in the embedding process. This issue is fixed in version 0.21.0. |
| vLLM through 0.29.0 fails to properly clean up decode-side metadata for rejected inference requests in prefill/decode disaggregated deployments. Remote attackers can submit requests with max_tokens=0 to exhaust decode-worker memory without bound until the worker restarts. |
| A vulnerability has been found in O-RAN-SC SMO OAM 2025-06-10. Affected is an unknown function of the component VES Collector. Such manipulation of the argument additionalFields.padding leads to uncontrolled memory allocation. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used. The project was informed of the problem early through a bug report but has not responded yet. |
| roxmltree through 0.21.1 performs quadratic-time attribute and namespace validation during XML parsing without limits on attribute count. Attackers can craft XML documents with tens of thousands of attributes on a single element to consume excessive CPU time and cause denial of service. |
| OpenTelemetry-Go is the Go implementation of OpenTelemetry. From version 1.10.0 until 1.33.0, the sdk/trace/span.go attribute truncation path can fail to enforce AttributeValueLengthLimit for string and string-slice attributes containing the valid Unicode replacement character U+FFFD. safeTruncateValidUTF8 treats the valid replacement rune as invalid UTF-8 and returns the original input, while strings.ToValidUTF8 leaves that valid rune unchanged, so a second safeTruncate attempt can also return the oversized value. An attacker who controls span attribute content can retain values longer than the configured limit, increasing per-span memory use and weakening denial-of-service protection in the instrumented process. This issue is fixed in version 1.33.0. |
| Soup Sieve is a CSS selector library designed to be used with Beautiful Soup 4. Prior to 2.9, the selector parser in src/soupsieve/css_parser.py defines IDENTIFIER with adjacent quantified groups over overlapping character classes, and VALUE embeds IDENTIFIER for attribute selectors. When an attacker-controlled selector contains a long identifier or unquoted attribute-value run followed by input that makes the overall match fail, the regular expression engine explores quadratically many splits between the overlapping groups. User-controlled selectors can reach this path through soupsieve.compile(), soupsieve.select(), or BeautifulSoup.select(), while applications using only hard-coded selectors are unaffected. The resulting CPU consumption can hold the Python GIL, exhaust application workers, and stall a service; successful plain identifier matches are linear, and the issue does not cause memory corruption or code execution. The issue is fixed in version 2.9. |
| Soup Sieve is a CSS selector library designed to be used with Beautiful Soup 4. Prior to 2.9, selector_iter in src/soupsieve/css_parser.py trims the raw selector with RE_WS_END, an end-anchored WSC whitespace-and-comment expression used with search(), so the regular expression engine retries a greedy scan at every starting offset. An attacker-controlled valid selector containing a long internal whitespace run, or a selector containing a long CSS comment run followed by another token, causes quadratic CPU work before tokenization. User-controlled selectors can reach the path through soupsieve.compile() and BeautifulSoup.select(), while applications using only hard-coded selectors are unaffected. This root cause is separate from the IDENTIFIER and VALUE backtracking vulnerability because the cost occurs in RE_WS_END.search during trimming rather than token matching. The resulting CPU consumption can hold the Python GIL, exhaust workers, and stall a service without causing memory corruption or code execution. The issue is fixed in version 2.9. |
