CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
drm/amdkfd: Let driver decide buffer size at AMDKFD_IOC_GET_DMABUF_INFO ioctl
amdkfd driver needs allocate buffer to return bo metadata to user space. The
buffer size is controlled by user currently. It is a potential security issue
that hostile value (e.g. 2 GiB) lets any render-group user trigger order-MAX
allocation/OOM in kernel context.
This patch first finds bo metadata size. If the size is smaller than user
provided value drive can safely allocate buffer in kernel space and copy to
user space buffer. If not, driver will let user know, not allocate and copy.
User will redo with new buffer in user space.
This patch lets driver decide buffer allocation size to avoid potential hostile
size from user space.

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ALSA: usb-audio: caiaq: validate EP1 reply lengths
usb_ep1_command_reply_dispatch() uses buf[0] as a command byte and then
reads command-specific fixed items from the same URB buffer. Several
paths use buf + 1, buf[1], buf[2], or buf + 3 without first proving that
urb->actual_length contains those bytes.
Add per-command length checks, use a payload length derived from the
bytes after the command byte for the control-state copy, and reject short
analog input payloads before the input helper reads fixed offsets from
the EP1 reply. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
wifi: rsi: validate beacon length before fixed buffer copy
rsi_prepare_beacon() copies the mac80211 beacon frame after
FRAME_DESC_SZ into a management skb whose usable tailroom may be smaller
than MAX_MGMT_PKT_SIZE after alignment.
Validate the beacon length against the actual tailroom before the copy
and skb_put(). Leave ownership of the management skb with the caller on
error, matching the existing rsi_send_beacon() cleanup path. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
btrfs: fix use-after-free on reloc root after error in insert_dirty_subvol()
If during relocation we fail in insert_dirty_subvol() because
btrfs_update_reloc_root() returned an error, we will leave a root's
reloc_root field pointing to a reloc root that was freed instead of NULL,
resulting later in a use-after-free, or double free attempt during
unmount.
The sequence of steps is this:
1) During relocation the call to btrfs_update_reloc_root() in
insert_dirty_subvol() fails, so insert_dirty_subvol() returns the
error to merge_reloc_root() without adding the root to the list
rc->dirty_subvol_roots;
2) Then merge_reloc_root() aborts the current transaction because
insert_dirty_subvol() returned an error;
3) Up the call chain, merge_reloc_roots() gets the error, adds the
reloc root for root X to the local reloc_roots list and jumps to the
'out' label, where it calls free_reloc_roots() to free all the reloc
roots in the local reloc_roots list. This frees the reloc root for
root X;
4) We go up the call chain to relocate_block_group() which calls
clean_dirty_subvols() to go over dirty roots and set their
->reloc_root field to NULL, but root X is not in the dirty_subvol_roots
list, so its ->reloc_root still points to a reloc root;
5) Relocation finishes, with an error and a transaction abort, but the
->reloc_root field for root X still points to the reloc root that was
freed in step 3;
6) When unmounting the fs we end up calling:
btrfs_free_fs_roots()
btrfs_drop_and_free_fs_root()
--> calls btrfs_put_root() against root X's ->reloc_root
which is not NULL and points to the already freed
reloc root in step 4 above
Resulting in a use-after-free to a double free attempt.
Syzbot reported this with the following dmesg/syslog:

| Termix is a web-based server management platform with SSH terminal, tunneling, and file editing capabilities. From 2.4.1 until 2.5.1, an authenticated Termix administrator can store attacker-controlled domain and email values through PATCH /users/acme-ssl-settings and trigger their interpolation into a certbot shell command through POST /users/acme-ssl-request. In src/backend/database/routes/acme-ssl-routes.ts, child_process.execSync invokes /bin/sh -c with those values only wrapped in double quotes, so shell metacharacters can execute arbitrary operating-system commands as the Termix backend process. Both HTTP webroot and DNS Cloudflare challenge modes are affected, and compromise exposes Termix databases, process secrets, stored credentials, and network reachability. This issue is fixed in version 2.5.1. |
| ZBar commit 2ea2ca58 contains an undefined-behavior vulnerability in the Code 128 decode6() function. When processing specially crafted Code 128 input, decode_e() can return -1 for an invalid edge pattern, and decode6() subsequently left-shifts this negative signed value while constructing the edge signature. The operation invokes undefined behavior and can terminate trap-mode UBSan builds with SIGILL, resulting in denial of service. |
| Termix is a web-based server management platform with SSH terminal, tunneling, and file editing capabilities. From 1.7.0 until 2.5.1, the POST /credentials/:id/deploy-to-host endpoint resolves credential and target-host records from attacker-controlled credentialId and targetHostId integer values without checking that either record belongs to the requesting user. In src/backend/database/routes/credentials.ts, differential errors reveal whether credential and host records exist and disclose each record's authType value. Properly encrypted passwords and keys are not disclosed, but a key-authenticated victim host can receive an outbound SSH connection attempt using the attacker's public key. This issue is fixed in version 2.5.1. |

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
staging: octeon: add missing tasklet_kill in cvm_oct_tx_shutdown
The TX cleanup tasklet can be scheduled by the watchdog IRQ handler
to execute cvm_oct_tx_do_cleanup. There can be a pending tasklet in
the queue which might run after the cvm_oct_remove() frees net_device
structures, causing a use-after-free in cvm_oct_tx_do_cleanup() as it
iterates cvm_oct_device[] which is an array of netdevice pointers.
Add tasklet_kill() after free_irq() to ensure the tasklet is no longer
scheduled or running before teardown proceeds. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
phy: renesas: phy-rcar-gen3-usb2: Fix devm action registration for disabled VBUS regulator
devm_regulator_get_exclusive() initialises the regulator with
enable_count = 1, requiring the consumer to disable it before release.
The devm disable action was previously only registered when the caller
explicitly requested enable, so when the regulator was left in its initial
enabled state without an explicit enable call, the cleanup path skipped
decrementing enable_count, triggering a WARN_ON during regulator
release on device removal.
Fix this by always registering the devm disable action based on the actual
enabled state via regulator_is_enabled(), regardless of whether the
caller requested an explicit enable. This covers both the explicitly
enabled case and the initial state set by devm_regulator_get_exclusive(). |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ext4: skip extra isize expansion during mount to prevent deadlock
ext4_try_to_expand_extra_isize() is called from __ext4_mark_inode_dirty()
while holding an active jbd2 handle. During mount (!SB_ACTIVE), the
expand path may move xattrs to external blocks and release ea_inodes via
iput(). When !SB_ACTIVE, iput() calls write_inode_now() which acquires
s_writepages_rwsem, creating a circular lock dependency:
s_writepages_rwsem --> jbd2_handle --> xattr_sem --> s_writepages_rwsem
This can be triggered via:
ext4_process_orphan() -> ext4_truncate() -> ext4_mark_inode_dirty()
-> ext4_try_to_expand_extra_isize()
or:
ext4_evict_inode() -> ext4_mark_inode_dirty()
-> ext4_try_to_expand_extra_isize()
Skip expansion when !SB_ACTIVE. This is a minor loss of functionality
(extra isize won't grow for these inodes during mount), which e2fsck
can resolve later if needed. |

BTRFS warning (device sdd): unable to release extent buffer 365985792 owner 3 gen 17 refs 3 flags 0x5
[CAUSE]
In that invalidate_and_check_btree_folios() we wait for the eb to finish
its read, then check if it's only held by us and the btree inode.
If not, then do a warning as it may be still held, and could cause
problems.
But there is a small window where the check can lead to false alerts:
Thread A (Read endio) | Thread B (Unmount)
----------------------------------+-------------------------------------
end_bbio_meta_read() |
| The eb has one extra ref held |
| by the reader, and has |
| EXTENT_BUFFER_READING flag set | invalidate_and_check_btree_folios()
| | |
|- clear_extent_buffer_reading() | |
| | |- wait_on_bit_io();
| | | The EXTENT_BUFFER_READING flag is
| | | cleared
| | |- if (refcount_read(eb->refs) > 2)
| | The eb is held by the read, us
| | and btree inode, thus it
| | will trigger the warning
|- free_extent_buffer() |
[FIX]
Introduce a helper, free_extent_buffer_clear_reading().
If the new parameter, @clear_reading, is set, we will hold the spinlock
at the beginning of free_extent_buffer_clear_reading() to make sure the
EXTENT_BUFFER_READING flag is cleared inside the same critical section
of decreasing refs.
Now free_extent_buffer() will just call
free_extent_buffer_clear_reading() with @clear_reading set to false, so
no behavior change.
But for end_bbio_meta_read(), it will not clear_extent_buffer_reading()
directly, but pass @clear_reading as true.
Then inside invalidate_and_check_btree_folios(), hold the refs_lock
before reading refs.
So that we eliminate the race window completely. |

| MuJS e892c9fdb contains an incorrect numeric conversion vulnerability in jsR_isindex() in jsrun.c.
