| CVE-2022-50859 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-04-15 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: cifs: Fix the error length of VALIDATE_NEGOTIATE_INFO message Commit d5c7076b772a ("smb3: add smb3.1.1 to default dialect list") extend the dialects from 3 to 4, but forget to decrease the extended length when specific the dialect, then the message length is larger than expected. This maybe leak some info through network because not initialize the message body. After apply this patch, the VALIDATE_NEGOTIATE_INFO message length is reduced from 28 bytes to 26 bytes. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: hwrng: amd - Fix PCI device refcount leak for_each_pci_dev() is implemented by pci_get_device(). The comment of pci_get_device() says that it will increase the reference count for the returned pci_dev and also decrease the reference count for the input pci_dev @from if it is not NULL. If we break for_each_pci_dev() loop with pdev not NULL, we need to call pci_dev_put() to decrease the reference count. Add the missing pci_dev_put() for the normal and error path. | ||||
| CVE-2022-50870 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-04-15 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: powerpc/rtas: avoid device tree lookups in rtas_os_term() rtas_os_term() is called during panic. Its behavior depends on a couple of conditions in the /rtas node of the device tree, the traversal of which entails locking and local IRQ state changes. If the kernel panics while devtree_lock is held, rtas_os_term() as currently written could hang. Instead of discovering the relevant characteristics at panic time, cache them in file-static variables at boot. Note the lookup for "ibm,extended-os-term" is converted to of_property_read_bool() since it is a boolean property, not an RTAS function token. [mpe: Incorporate suggested change from Nick] | ||||

| CVE-2023-53754 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-04-15 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: lpfc: Fix ioremap issues in lpfc_sli4_pci_mem_setup() When if_type equals zero and pci_resource_start(pdev, PCI_64BIT_BAR4) returns false, drbl_regs_memmap_p is not remapped. This passes a NULL pointer to iounmap(), which can trigger a WARN() on certain arches. When if_type equals six and pci_resource_start(pdev, PCI_64BIT_BAR4) returns true, drbl_regs_memmap_p may has been remapped and ctrl_regs_memmap_p is not remapped. This is a resource leak and passes a NULL pointer to iounmap(). To fix these issues, we need to add null checks before iounmap(), and change some goto labels. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nilfs2: avoid having an active sc_timer before freeing sci Because kthread_stop did not stop sc_task properly and returned -EINTR, the sc_timer was not properly closed, ultimately causing the problem [1] reported by syzbot when freeing sci due to the sc_timer not being closed. Because the thread sc_task main function nilfs_segctor_thread() returns 0 when it succeeds, when the return value of kthread_stop() is not 0 in nilfs_segctor_destroy(), we believe that it has not properly closed sc_timer. We use timer_shutdown_sync() to sync wait for sc_timer to shutdown, and set the value of sc_task to NULL under the protection of lock sc_state_lock, so as to avoid the issue caused by sc_timer not being properly shutdowned. It means it should not allocate memory while holding a raw_spin_lock since it is not safe for RT. raw_spin_lock is needed because bpf_local_storage supports tracing context. In particular for task local storage, it is easy to get a "current" task PTR_TO_BTF_ID in tracing bpf prog. However, task (and cgroup) local storage has already been moved to bpf mem allocator which can be used after raw_spin_lock. The splat is for the sk storage. For sk (and inode) storage, it has not been moved to bpf mem allocator. Using raw_spin_lock or not, kzalloc(GFP_ATOMIC) could theoretically be unsafe in tracing context. However, the local storage helper requires a verifier accepted sk pointer (PTR_TO_BTF_ID), it is hypothetical if that (mean running a bpf prog in a kzalloc unsafe context and also able to hold a verifier accepted sk pointer) could happen. This patch avoids kzalloc after raw_spin_lock to silent the splat. There is an existing kzalloc before the raw_spin_lock. At that point, a kzalloc is very likely required because a lookup has just been done before. Thus, this patch always does the kzalloc before acq ---truncated--- | ||||

Reproduction script show as below, for analysis, see the comments: ``` #!/bin/bash cd /sys/kernel/tracing/ # 1. Register a 'disable_event' command, then: # 1) SOFT_DISABLED_BIT was set; # 2) trace_buffered_event_enable() was called first time; echo 'cmdline_proc_show:disable_event:initcall:initcall_finish' > \ set_ftrace_filter # 2. Enable the event registered, then: # 1) SOFT_DISABLED_BIT was cleared; # 2) trace_buffered_event_disable() was called first time; echo 1 > events/initcall/initcall_finish/enable # 3. Try to call into cmdline_proc_show(), then SOFT_DISABLED_BIT was # set again!!! cat /proc/cmdline # 4. Unregister the 'disable_event' command, then: # 1) SOFT_DISABLED_BIT was cleared again; # 2) trace_buffered_event_disable() was called second time!!! echo '!cmdline_proc_show:disable_event:initcall:initcall_finish' > \ set_ftrace_filter ``` To fix it, IIUC, we can change to call trace_buffered_event_enable() at fist time soft-mode enabled, and call trace_buffered_event_disable() at last time soft-mode disabled. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: accel/habanalabs: support mapping cb with vmalloc-backed coherent memory When IOMMU is enabled, dma_alloc_coherent() with GFP_USER may return addresses from the vmalloc range. If such an address is mapped without VM_MIXEDMAP, vm_insert_page() will trigger a BUG_ON due to the VM_PFNMAP restriction. Fix this by checking for vmalloc addresses and setting VM_MIXEDMAP in the VMA before mapping. This ensures safe mapping and avoids kernel crashes. The memory is still driver-allocated and cannot be accessed directly by userspace. | ||||
