| OpenImageIO is a toolset for reading, writing, and manipulating image files of any image file format relevant to VFX / animation. Prior to 3.1.16.0, a crafted ZIP-compressed TIFF processed with TIFF multithreading enabled can make TIFFInput::read_native_scanlines() return through an error path while asynchronous strip-decompression work remains queued. Because task_set is declared before ok and compressed_scratch, those captured objects are destroyed before the task-set destructor waits, allowing worker tasks to use stale stack and heap storage, resulting in a use-after-scope crash and denial of service. The affected implementation is identified by src/tiff.imageio/tiffinput.cpp, TIFFInput::read_native_scanlines(), task_set, ok, compressed_scratch, and uncompress_one_strip(), which define the relevant source path, functions, state, and trigger. This issue is fixed in 3.1.16.0. |

| The code in pppd that formats a response to a PEAP Request packet in peap_response() copies an entire TLS record of up to 16384 bytes into the fixed global buffer outpacket_buf
without checking the available space and without implementing outgoing
PEAP fragmentation. Thus a pppd process connecting to a server which
requests PEAP authentication can be induced to corrupt global static
data following the outpacket_buf array, most likely causing incorrect behavior or a crash. |

| The AsyncHttpClient (AHC) library allows Java applications to easily execute HTTP requests and asynchronously process HTTP responses. From 2.1.0 until 2.16.1 and 3.0.12, requests using an authenticated SOCKS proxy can expose the proxy's credentials to the origin because NettyRequestFactory and NettyRequestSender attach Proxy-Authorization without confirming that the request is being sent to an HTTP proxy. With preemptive proxy authentication, the header is attached to a plaintext HTTP request, exposing credentials such as directly reversible Basic credentials to the origin. With the default non-preemptive flow, a hostile origin can return a 407 response and ProxyUnauthorized407Interceptor sends the proxy credentials through the existing SOCKS tunnel, including NTLM, Kerberos, and SPNEGO credentials. Releases before 2.1.0 lack SOCKS proxy support. This issue is fixed in versions 2.16.1 and 3.0.12. |
