CVSS v3.1 |
| In Splunk Enterprise and Universal Forwarder versions before 9.0, the Splunk command-line interface (CLI) did not validate TLS certificates while connecting to a remote Splunk platform instance by default. After updating to version 9.0, see Configure TLS host name validation for the Splunk CLI https://docs.splunk.com/Documentation/Splunk/9.0.0/Security/EnableTLSCertHostnameValidation#Configure_TLS_host_name_validation_for_the_Splunk_CLI to enable the remediation. The vulnerability does not affect the Splunk Cloud Platform. At the time of publishing, we have no evidence of exploitation of this vulnerability by external parties.
The issue requires conditions beyond the control of a potential bad actor such as a machine-in-the-middle attack. Hence, Splunk rates the complexity of the attack as High. |
| An out-of-bounds memory read flaw was found in the Linux kernel's BPF subsystem in how a user calls the bpf_tail_call function with a key larger than the max_entries of the map. This flaw allows a local user to gain unauthorized access to data. |

| In multiple functions of SearchRequestDatabaseUtil.java, there is a possible way to access protected data due to SQL injection. This could lead to local denial of service with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation. |
| The report details a heap Use-After-Free (UAF) vulnerability within the `android.hardware.automotive.evs-default` HAL service, stemming from unsynchronized access to an `std::unordered_map`. An unprivileged application with access to the EVS manager can trigger this UAF by making concurrent calls to `setExtendedInfo` and `getExtendedInfo`, potentially enabling code execution within the privileged HAL process. |
| A Use-After-Free (UAF) vulnerability exists in the EVS HAL, allowing a privileged client to free a `buffer_handle_t` while the producer thread is still using it. This race condition, triggered via `doneWithFrame` and `setMaxFramesInFlight`, enables an attacker to manipulate freed heap memory, potentially leading to the leakage of file descriptors from the EVS HAL process. |
| The vulnerability is a Use-After-Free (UAF) in the EVS AIDL HAL, arising from a data race on an unsynchronized `std::weak_ptr` within `EvsEnumerator::openCamera()`. Specifically, concurrent calls from a privileged UID (e.g., `AID_AUTOMOTIVE_EVS`) can cause a torn `weak_ptr` state, leading to a virtual call through a freed object's vtable at `cameraObj->getCameraInfo(&desc)`. This allows for potential arbitrary code execution within the `hal_evs_default` process. |
| In parseMetaData of StagefrightMetadataRetriever.cpp, there is a possible denial of service due to a stack buffer overflow. This could lead to remote denial of service with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation. |
| In multiple locations, there is a possible permission bypass due to a missing permission check. This could lead to local information disclosure with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation. |
| In multiple locations, there is a possible permission bypass due to a missing permission check. This could lead to local escalation of privilege with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation. |
| A physical occupant on an Android Automotive OS (AAOS) Multi-User Multi-Display (MUMD) passenger display can view sensitive Heads-Up Notification (HUN) content and execute actions for a secure passenger user (User N) without authenticating. This bypasses the PassengerKeyguard because the HUN system only checks the global keyguard state, which is tied to the driver's unlocked display, and the PassengerKeyguard implementation fails to suppress HUNs or intercept action PendingIntents. Consequently, private notification data is disclosed, and user-N actions are executed without credential verification. |
| The vulnerability is a heap out-of-bounds read in the EVS HAL's `getStreamList()` method. An attacker can craft a `CameraDesc.metadata` byte array, which is parsed without validation, leading to an out-of-bounds read at an attacker-controlled offset within the HAL process's heap. The read data is then exfiltrated back to the attacker, potentially leaking sensitive information like pointers and buffer handles. |
| An unprivileged application can exploit a lack of package/signature validation in SystemUI's `RemoteQCController` when resolving a hardcoded `content://` URI. This allows the attacker to squat on a specific authority if the legitimate package is absent, inject spoofed UI elements into the trusted SystemUI Quick Controls panel, and gain a Background Activity Launch (BAL) grant from SystemUI when the user interacts with the spoofed element. |
| A flaw was found in ansible-core. When installing a collection with
`ansible-galaxy collection install`, the archive extractor validates member
paths using lexical path normalisation (os.path.abspath) instead of resolving
symbolic links (os.path.realpath), and it performs no containment check on
symlink-typed directory members before creating them. A crafted collection
tarball can chain symlink directory entries so that a subsequent file member is
written outside the intended destination directory. This allows an attacker who
can get a victim to install a malicious collection to overwrite arbitrary files
with the privileges of the user running ansible-galaxy, leading to code
execution on the control node. This is a bypass of the fix for CVE-2020-10691. |
| Directory Traversal vulnerability in Beam beta9 v.0.1.521 allows a remote attacker to obtain sensitive information via the joinCleanPath function. |
| A logic issue was addressed with improved checks. This issue is fixed in macOS Golden Gate 27, macOS Sequoia 15.8, macOS Tahoe 26.7. Opening a file referencing a network share may lead to unexpected software execution. |
| An issue in IDrive IDrive Backup for Windows Version 7.0.1.1 and below affected, remediated in Version 7.0.1.2 allows a local attacker to execute arbitrary code via the id_service.exe component |
| For updatable cursors, which are enabled by default, psqlODBC adds hidden ctid and, for tables with OIDs, oid columns to the query. It copies each value into a 32-byte stack buffer using the length the server sent, without checking it against the buffer size, so a value of 32 bytes or more writes past the buffer. A server not trusted under current SSL settings can send such a value. So can any database user who can create a view with its own column named ctid that the application reads with an updatable cursor. Builds with _FORTIFY_SOURCE abort; other builds overwrite adjacent stack memory. Versions before psqlODBC 18.00.0006 are affected. |
