CVE-2024-8176 1 Redhat 10 Devworkspace, Discovery, Enterprise Linux and 7 more 2026-10-15 7.5 High
A stack overflow vulnerability exists in the libexpat library due to the way it handles recursive entity expansion in XML documents. When parsing an XML document with deeply nested entity references, libexpat can be forced to recurse indefinitely, exhausting the stack space and causing a crash. This issue could lead to denial of service (DoS) or, in some cases, exploitable memory corruption, depending on the environment and library usage.
CVE-2024-6409 1 Redhat 4 Enterprise Linux, Openshift, Rhel E4s and 1 more 2026-10-15 7 High
A race condition vulnerability was discovered in how signals are handled by OpenSSH's server (sshd). If a remote attacker does not authenticate within a set time period, then sshd's SIGALRM handler is called asynchronously. However, this signal handler calls various functions that are not async-signal-safe, for example, syslog(). As a consequence of a successful attack, in the worst case scenario, an attacker may be able to perform a remote code execution (RCE) as an unprivileged user running the sshd server.
CVE-2024-50602 4 Debian, Libexpat Project, Netapp and 1 more 19 Debian Linux, Libexpat, Active Iq Unified Manager and 16 more 2026-10-15 5.9 Medium
An issue was discovered in libexpat before 2.6.4. There is a crash within the XML_ResumeParser function because XML_StopParser can stop/suspend an unstarted parser.
CVE-2024-42154 2 Linux, Redhat 3 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Eus 2026-10-15 4.4 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tcp_metrics: validate source addr length I don't see anything checking that TCP_METRICS_ATTR_SADDR_IPV4 is at least 4 bytes long, and the policy doesn't have an entry for this attribute at all (neither does it for IPv6 but v6 is manually validated).
CVE-2024-42131 2 Linux, Redhat 3 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Eus 2026-10-15 4.4 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm: avoid overflows in dirty throttling logic The dirty throttling logic is interspersed with assumptions that dirty limits in PAGE_SIZE units fit into 32-bit (so that various multiplications fit into 64-bits). If limits end up being larger, we will hit overflows, possible divisions by 0 etc. Fix these problems by never allowing so large dirty limits as they have dubious practical value anyway. For dirty_bytes / dirty_background_bytes interfaces we can just refuse to set so large limits. For dirty_ratio / dirty_background_ratio it isn't so simple as the dirty limit is computed from the amount of available memory which can change due to memory hotplug etc. So when converting dirty limits from ratios to numbers of pages, we just don't allow the result to exceed UINT_MAX. This is root-only triggerable problem which occurs when the operator sets dirty limits to >16 TB.
CVE-2024-40901 2 Linux, Redhat 3 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Eus 2026-10-15 7.3 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: mpt3sas: Avoid test/set_bit() operating in non-allocated memory There is a potential out-of-bounds access when using test_bit() on a single word. The test_bit() and set_bit() functions operate on long values, and when testing or setting a single word, they can exceed the word boundary. KASAN detects this issue and produces a dump: BUG: KASAN: slab-out-of-bounds in _scsih_add_device.constprop.0 (./arch/x86/include/asm/bitops.h:60 ./include/asm-generic/bitops/instrumented-atomic.h:29 drivers/scsi/mpt3sas/mpt3sas_scsih.c:7331) mpt3sas Write of size 8 at addr ffff8881d26e3c60 by task kworker/u1536:2/2965 For full log, please look at [1]. Make the allocation at least the size of sizeof(unsigned long) so that set_bit() and test_bit() have sufficient room for read/write operations without overwriting unallocated memory. CVE-2024-36927 2 Linux, Redhat 3 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Eus 2026-10-15 4.7 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipv4: Fix uninit-value access in __ip_make_skb() KMSAN reported uninit-value access in __ip_make_skb() [1]. __ip_make_skb() tests HDRINCL to know if the skb has icmphdr. However, HDRINCL can cause a race condition. If calling setsockopt(2) with IP_HDRINCL changes HDRINCL while __ip_make_skb() is running, the function will access icmphdr in the skb even if it is not included. This causes the issue reported by KMSAN. Check FLOWI_FLAG_KNOWN_NH on fl4->flowi4_flags instead of testing HDRINCL on the socket. Also, fl4->fl4_icmp_type and fl4->fl4_icmp_code are not initialized. These are union in struct flowi4 and are implicitly initialized by flowi4_init_output(), but we should not rely on specific union layout. Initialize these explicitly in raw_sendmsg(). CVE-2024-2236 1 Redhat 2 Enterprise Linux, Rhel Eus 2026-10-15 5.9 Medium
A timing-based side-channel flaw was found in libgcrypt's RSA implementation. This issue may allow a remote attacker to initiate a Bleichenbacher-style attack, which can lead to the decryption of RSA ciphertexts.
CVE-2024-28835 1 Redhat 2 Enterprise Linux, Rhel Eus 2026-10-15 5 Medium
A flaw has been discovered in GnuTLS where an application crash can be induced when attempting to verify a specially crafted .pem bundle using the "certtool --verify-chain" command.
CVE-2024-28834 1 Redhat 2 Enterprise Linux, Rhel Eus 2026-10-15 5.3 Medium
A flaw was found in GnuTLS. The Minerva attack is a cryptographic vulnerability that exploits deterministic behavior in systems like GnuTLS, leading to side-channel leaks. In specific scenarios, such as when using the GNUTLS_PRIVKEY_FLAG_REPRODUCIBLE flag, it can result in a noticeable step in nonce size from 513 to 512 bits, exposing a potential timing side-channel.
CVE-2024-25062 2 Redhat, Xmlsoft 4 Enterprise Linux, Jboss Core Services, Rhel Eus and 1 more 2026-10-15 7.5 High
An issue was discovered in libxml2 before 2.11.7 and 2.12.x before 2.12.5. When using the XML Reader interface with DTD validation and XInclude expansion enabled, processing crafted XML documents can lead to an xmlValidatePopElement use-after-free.
CVE-2024-0567 5 Debian, Fedoraproject, Gnu and 2 more 9 Debian Linux, Fedora, Gnutls and 6 more 2026-10-15 7.5 High
A vulnerability was found in GnuTLS, where a cockpit (which uses gnuTLS) rejects a certificate chain with distributed trust. This issue occurs when validating a certificate chain with cockpit-certificate-ensure. This flaw allows an unauthenticated, remote client or attacker to initiate a denial of service attack.
CVE-2023-52425 2 Libexpat Project, Redhat 4 Libexpat, Enterprise Linux, Jboss Core Services and 1 more 2026-10-15 7.5 High
libexpat through 2.5.0 allows a denial of service (resource consumption) because many full reparsings are required in the case of a large token for which multiple buffer fills are needed.
CVE-2023-45871 3 Debian, Linux, Redhat 9 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux and 6 more 2026-10-15 7.5 High
An issue was discovered in drivers/net/ethernet/intel/igb/igb_main.c in the IGB driver in the Linux kernel before 6.5.3. A buffer size may not be adequate for frames larger than the MTU.
CVE-2023-42753 3 Debian, Linux, Redhat 9 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux and 6 more 2026-10-15 7 High
An array indexing vulnerability was found in the netfilter subsystem of the Linux kernel. A missing macro could lead to a miscalculation of the `h->nets` array offset, providing attackers with the primitive to arbitrarily increment/decrement a memory buffer out-of-bound. This issue may allow a local user to crash the system or potentially escalate their privileges on the system.
CVE-2023-40283 4 Canonical, Debian, Linux and 1 more 9 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Linux Kernel and 6 more 2026-10-15 7.8 High
An issue was discovered in l2cap_sock_release in net/bluetooth/l2cap_sock.c in the Linux kernel before 6.4.10. There is a use-after-free because the children of an sk are mishandled.
CVE-2023-39615 2 Redhat, Xmlsoft 6 Enterprise Linux, Jboss Core Services, Openshift and 3 more 2026-10-15 6.5 Medium
Xmlsoft Libxml2 v2.11.0 was discovered to contain an out-of-bounds read via the xmlSAX2StartElement() function at /libxml2/SAX2.c. This vulnerability allows attackers to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via supplying a crafted XML file. NOTE: the vendor's position is that the product does not support the legacy SAX1 interface with custom callbacks; there is a crash even without crafted input.
CVE-2023-38408 3 Fedoraproject, Openbsd, Redhat 9 Fedora, Openssh, Devworkspace and 6 more 2026-10-15 9.8 Critical
The PKCS#11 feature in ssh-agent in OpenSSH before 9.3p2 has an insufficiently trustworthy search path, leading to remote code execution if an agent is forwarded to an attacker-controlled system. (Code in /usr/lib is not necessarily safe for loading into ssh-agent.) NOTE: this issue exists because of an incomplete fix for CVE-2016-10009.
CVE-2023-35001 5 Debian, Fedoraproject, Linux and 2 more 15 Debian Linux, Fedora, Linux Kernel and 12 more 2026-10-15 7.8 High
Linux Kernel nftables Out-Of-Bounds Read/Write Vulnerability; nft_byteorder poorly handled vm register contents when CAP_NET_ADMIN is in any user or network namespace
CVE-2023-34969 4 Debian, Fedoraproject, Freedesktop and 1 more 5 Debian Linux, Fedora, Dbus and 2 more 2026-10-15 6.5 Medium
D-Bus before 1.15.6 sometimes allows unprivileged users to crash dbus-daemon. If a privileged user with control over the dbus-daemon is using the org.freedesktop.DBus.Monitoring interface to monitor message bus traffic, then an unprivileged user with the ability to connect to the same dbus-daemon can cause a dbus-daemon crash under some circumstances via an unreplyable message. When done on the well-known system bus, this is a denial-of-service vulnerability. The fixed versions are 1.12.28, 1.14.8, and 1.15.6.
