Prior to 2.1.2, .github/workflows/pre-commit-fix.yaml uses pull_request_target (privileged trigger) but checks out and executes code directly from the attacker's fork, enabling RCE with write permissions. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.1.2.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfrm: account XFRMA_IF_ID in aevent size calculation xfrm_get_ae() allocates the reply skb with xfrm_aevent_msgsize(), then build_aevent() appends attributes including XFRMA_IF_ID when x->if_id is set. xfrm_aevent_msgsize() does not include space for XFRMA_IF_ID. For states with if_id, build_aevent() can fail with -EMSGSIZE and hit BUG_ON(err < 0) in xfrm_get_ae(), turning a malformed netlink interaction into a kernel panic. Account XFRMA_IF_ID in the size calculation unconditionally and replace the BUG_ON with normal error unwinding.

Open edX Platform enables the authoring and delivery of online learning at any scale. The view_survey endpoint accepts a redirect_url GET parameter that is passed directly to HttpResponseRedirect() without any URL validation. When a non-existent survey name is provided, the server issues an immediate HTTP 302 redirect to the attacker-controlled URL. Additionally, the same unvalidated URL is embedded in a hidden form field and returned in a JSON response after form submission, where client-side JavaScript performs location.href = url. This enables phishing and credential theft attacks against authenticated Open edX users. This vulnerability is fixed with commit 76462f1e5fa9b37d2621ad7ad19514b403908970.

Prometheus is an open-source monitoring system and time series database. Prior to versions 3.5.3 and 3.11.3, the remote read endpoint (/api/v1/read) does not validate the declared decoded length in a snappy-compressed request body before allocating memory. An unauthenticated attacker can send a small payload that causes a huge heap allocation per request. Under concurrent load this can exhaust available memory and crash the Prometheus process. This issue has been patched in versions 3.5.3 and 3.11.3.

Prometheus is an open-source monitoring system and time series database. Prior to versions 3.5.3 and 3.11.3, the client_secret field in the Azure AD remote write OAuth configuration (storage/remote/azuread) was typed as string instead of Secret. Prometheus redacts fields of type Secret when serving the configuration via the /-/config HTTP API endpoint. Because the field was a plain string, the Azure OAuth client secret was exposed in plaintext to any user or process with access to that endpoint. This issue has been patched in versions 3.5.3 and 3.11.3.

An authentication bypass vulnerability was identified in GitHub Enterprise Server that allowed an unauthenticated attacker to create a local user account, bypassing the configured external identity provider. When external authentication was enabled, the signup endpoint did not properly enforce the authentication restriction, allowing account creation and session establishment without identity provider validation. The created account was limited to the default base permissions configured on the instance. Exploitation required network access to a GHES instance configured with an external authentication provider. This vulnerability affected all versions of GitHub Enterprise Server prior to 3.21 and was fixed in versions 3.20.2, 3.19.6, 3.18.9, 3.17.15, and 3.16.18.

A denial of service vulnerability was identified in GitHub Enterprise Server that allowed an unauthenticated attacker to cause service disruption by sending crafted requests with deeply nested JSON payloads to an unauthenticated API endpoint. The endpoint parsed user-controlled JSON request bodies without size or depth limits, causing excessive CPU and memory consumption. This vulnerability affected all versions of GitHub Enterprise Server prior to 3.21 and was fixed in versions 3.20.2, 3.19.6, 3.18.9, 3.17.15, and 3.16.18. This vulnerability was reported via the GitHub Bug Bounty program.

A server-side request forgery (SSRF) vulnerability was identified in the GitHub Enterprise Server notebook viewer that allowed an attacker to access internal services by exploiting URL parser confusion between the validation layer and the HTTP request library. The hostname validation used a different URL parser than the request library, enabling a crafted URL to pass validation while directing the request to an unintended host. Exploitation required network access to the GitHub Enterprise Server instance. This vulnerability affected all versions of GitHub Enterprise Server prior to 3.21 and was fixed in versions 3.16.18, 3.17.15, 3.18.9, 3.19.6, and 3.20.2. This vulnerability was reported via the GitHub Bug Bounty program.

A flaw was found in Cockpit. This vulnerability allows a remote attacker to achieve arbitrary command execution on the host by exploiting unsanitized user-controlled parameters within crafted links in the system logs user interface (UI). An attacker can inject shell metacharacters and command substitutions into these parameters, leading to the execution of arbitrary shell commands on the affected system. This could result in a complete system compromise.

Authorization vulnerability in pgAdmin 4 server mode affecting Server Groups, Servers, Shared Servers, Background Processes, and Debugger modules. Multiple endpoints fetched user-owned objects without filtering by the requesting user's identity. An authenticated user could access another user's private servers, server groups, background processes, and debugger function arguments by guessing object IDs. Additionally, the Shared Servers feature contained multiple issues including credential leakage (passexec_cmd, passfile, SSL keys), privilege escalation via writable passexec_cmd (a shell command executed when establishing the connection) allowing arbitrary command execution in the owner's process context, and owner-data corruption via SQLAlchemy session mutations. Several owner-only fields (passexec_cmd, passexec_expiration, db_res, db_res_type) were writable by non-owners through the API, and additional fields (kerberos_conn, tags, post_connection_sql) lacked per-user persistence so non-owner edits mutated the owner's record. Fix centralises access control via a new server_access module, scopes all user-owned models with a UserScopedMixin, returns HTTP 410 from connection_manager when access is denied in server mode, suppresses owner-only fields for non-owners across the merge / API response / ServerManager paths, and adds an explicit owner-only write guard. The remediation landed in two pull requests; both are referenced. This issue affects pgAdmin 4: before 9.15.

Stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in pgAdmin 4 Browser Tree and Explain Visualizer modules. User-controlled PostgreSQL object names (database, schema, table, column, etc.) were assigned to DOM elements via innerHTML, allowing crafted object names containing HTML markup to execute attacker-supplied JavaScript in the browser of any pgAdmin user who navigated to or executed EXPLAIN over the malicious object. Fix replaces innerHTML with textContent. This issue affects pgAdmin 4: before 9.15.

Grav is a file-based Web platform. Prior to 2.0.0-beta.2, an authenticated user with administrative privileges can achieve Remote Code Execution (RCE) by uploading a specially crafted ZIP file through the "Direct Install" tool. While the system attempts to block direct .php file uploads, it fails to inspect the contents of uploaded ZIP archives. Once a malicious plugin is extracted, it can execute arbitrary PHP code or drop a persistent web shell on the server. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.0.0-beta.2.

A flaw was found in libucl. A remote attacker could exploit this by providing a specially crafted Universal Configuration Language (UCL) input that contains a key with an embedded null byte. This can cause a segmentation fault (SEGV fault) in the `ucl_object_emit` function when parsing and emitting the object, leading to a Denial of Service (DoS) for the affected system.
