| CVE-2023-53134 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux | 2025-11-10 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bnxt_en: Avoid order-5 memory allocation for TPA data The driver needs to keep track of all the possible concurrent TPA (GRO/LRO) completions on the aggregation ring. On P5 chips, the maximum number of concurrent TPA is 256 and the amount of memory we allocate is order-5 on systems using 4K pages. Memory allocation failure has been reported: NetworkManager: page allocation failure: order:5, mode:0x40dc0(GFP_KERNEL|__GFP_COMP|__GFP_ZERO), nodemask=(null),cpuset=/,mems_allowed=0-1 CPU: 15 PID: 2995 Comm: NetworkManager Kdump: loaded Not tainted 5.10.156 #1 Hardware name: Dell Inc. | CVE-2025-37799 | 2 Linux, Redhat | 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux | 2025-11-10 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vmxnet3: Fix malformed packet sizing in vmxnet3_process_xdp vmxnet3 driver's XDP handling is buggy for packet sizes using ring0 (that is, packet sizes between 128 - 3k bytes). We noticed MTU-related connectivity issues with Cilium's service load- balancing in case of vmxnet3 as NIC underneath. A simple curl to a HTTP backend service where the XDP LB was doing IPIP encap led to overly large packet sizes but only for *some* of the packets (e.g. HTTP GET request) while others (e.g. the prior TCP 3WHS) looked completely fine on the wire. In fact, the pcap recording on the backend node actually revealed that the node with the XDP LB was leaking uninitialized kernel data onto the wire for the affected packets, for example, while the packets should have been 152 bytes their actual size was 1482 bytes, so the remainder after 152 bytes was padded with whatever other data was in that page at the time (e.g. we saw user/payload data from prior processed packets). We only noticed this through an MTU issue, e.g. when the XDP LB node and the backend node both had the same MTU (e.g. 1500) then the curl request got dropped on the backend node's NIC given the packet was too large even though the IPIP-encapped packet normally would never even come close to the MTU limit. Lowering the MTU on the XDP LB (e.g. 1480) allowed to let the curl request succeed (which also indicates that the kernel ignored the padding, and thus the issue wasn't very user-visible). Commit e127ce7699c1 ("vmxnet3: Fix missing reserved tailroom") was too eager to also switch xdp_prepare_buff() from rcd->len to rbi->len. It really needs to stick to rcd->len which is the actual packet length from the descriptor. The latter we also feed into vmxnet3_process_xdp_small(), by the way, and it indicates the correct length needed to initialize the xdp->{data,data_end} parts. For e127ce7699c1 ("vmxnet3: Fix missing reserved tailroom") the relevant part was adapting xdp_init_buff() to address the warning given the xdp_data_hard_end() depends on xdp->frame_sz. With that fixed, traffic on the wire looks good again. | ||||
| CVE-2021-3156 | 9 Beyondtrust, Debian, Fedoraproject and 6 more | 38 Privilege Management For Mac, Privilege Management For Unix\/linux, Debian Linux and 35 more | 2025-11-10 | 7.8 High |
| Sudo before 1.9.5p2 contains an off-by-one error that can result in a heap-based buffer overflow, which allows privilege escalation to root via "sudoedit -s" and a command-line argument that ends with a single backslash character. | ||||
| CVE-2024-8612 | 1 Redhat | 2 Advanced Virtualization, Enterprise Linux | 2025-11-08 | 3.8 Low |
| A flaw was found in QEMU, in the virtio-scsi, virtio-blk, and virtio-crypto devices. The size for virtqueue_push as set in virtio_scsi_complete_req / virtio_blk_req_complete / virito_crypto_req_complete could be larger than the true size of the data which has been sent to guest. Once virtqueue_push() finally calls dma_memory_unmap to ummap the in_iov, it may call the address_space_write function to write back the data. Some uninitialized data may exist in the bounce.buffer, leading to an information leak. | ||||
| CVE-2024-8354 | 2 Qemu, Redhat | 3 Qemu, Advanced Virtualization, Enterprise Linux | 2025-11-08 | 5.5 Medium |
| A flaw was found in QEMU. An assertion failure was present in the usb_ep_get() function in hw/net/core.c when trying to get the USB endpoint from a USB device. This flaw may allow a malicious unprivileged guest user to crash the QEMU process on the host and cause a denial of service condition. | ||||
| CVE-2023-5215 | 1 Redhat | 3 Advanced Virtualization, Enterprise Linux, Libnbd | 2025-11-08 | 5.3 Medium |
| A flaw was found in libnbd. A server can reply with a block size larger than 2^63 (the NBD spec states the size is a 64-bit unsigned value). This issue could lead to an application crash or other unintended behavior for NBD clients that doesn't treat the return value of the nbd_get_size() function correctly. | ||||
| CVE-2024-1441 | 1 Redhat | 2 Advanced Virtualization, Enterprise Linux | 2025-11-08 | 5.5 Medium |
| An off-by-one error flaw was found in the udevListInterfacesByStatus() function in libvirt when the number of interfaces exceeds the size of the `names` array. This issue can be reproduced by sending specially crafted data to the libvirt daemon, allowing an unprivileged client to perform a denial of service attack by causing the libvirt daemon to crash. | ||||
| CVE-2025-47712 | 2 Nbdkit Project, Redhat | 4 Nbdkit, Advanced Virtualization, Enterprise Linux and 1 more | 2025-11-08 | 4.3 Medium |
| A flaw exists in the nbdkit "blocksize" filter that can be triggered by a specific type of client request. When a client requests block status information for a very large data range, exceeding a certain limit, it causes an internal error in the nbdkit, leading to a denial of service. | ||||
| CVE-2025-47711 | 2 Nbdkit Project, Redhat | 4 Nbdkit, Advanced Virtualization, Enterprise Linux and 1 more | 2025-11-08 | 4.3 Medium |
| There's a flaw in the nbdkit server when handling responses from its plugins regarding the status of data blocks. If a client makes a specific request for a very large data range, and a plugin responds with an even larger single block, the nbdkit server can encounter a critical internal error, leading to a denial-of-service. | ||||
| CVE-2024-52337 | 1 Redhat | 9 Enterprise Linux, Rhel Aus, Rhel E4s and 6 more | 2025-11-08 | 5.5 Medium |
| A log spoofing flaw was found in the Tuned package due to improper sanitization of some API arguments. This flaw allows an attacker to pass a controlled sequence of characters; newlines can be inserted into the log. Instead of the 'evil' the attacker could mimic a valid TuneD log line and trick the administrator. The quotes '' are usually used in TuneD logs citing raw user input, so there will always be the ' character ending the spoofed input, and the administrator can easily overlook this. This logged string is later used in logging and in the output of utilities, for example, `tuned-adm get_instances` or other third-party programs that use Tuned's D-Bus interface for such operations. | ||||
| CVE-2024-8235 | 1 Redhat | 3 Advanced Virtualization, Enterprise Linux, Libvirt | 2025-11-08 | 6.2 Medium |
| A flaw was found in libvirt. A refactor of the code fetching the list of interfaces for multiple APIs introduced a corner case on platforms where allocating 0 bytes of memory results in a NULL pointer. This corner case would lead to a NULL-pointer dereference and subsequent crash of virtinterfaced. This issue could allow clients connecting to the read-only socket to crash the virtinterfaced daemon. | ||||
| CVE-2024-7383 | 1 Redhat | 2 Advanced Virtualization, Enterprise Linux | 2025-11-08 | 7.4 High |
| A flaw was found in libnbd. The client did not always correctly verify the NBD server's certificate when using TLS to connect to an NBD server. This issue allows a man-in-the-middle attack on NBD traffic. | ||||
| CVE-2024-6505 | 2 Qemu, Redhat | 3 Qemu, Advanced Virtualization, Enterprise Linux | 2025-11-08 | 6.8 Medium |
| A flaw was found in the virtio-net device in QEMU. When enabling the RSS feature on the virtio-net network card, the indirections_table data within RSS becomes controllable. Setting excessively large values may cause an index out-of-bounds issue, potentially resulting in heap overflow access. This flaw allows a privileged user in the guest to crash the QEMU process on the host. | ||||
| CVE-2024-4418 | 1 Redhat | 3 Advanced Virtualization, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Eus | 2025-11-08 | 6.2 Medium |
| A race condition leading to a stack use-after-free flaw was found in libvirt. Due to a bad assumption in the virNetClientIOEventLoop() method, the `data` pointer to a stack-allocated virNetClientIOEventData structure ended up being used in the virNetClientIOEventFD callback while the data pointer's stack frame was concurrently being "freed" when returning from virNetClientIOEventLoop(). The 'virtproxyd' daemon can be used to trigger requests. If libvirt is configured with fine-grained access control, this issue, in theory, allows a user to escape their otherwise limited access. This flaw allows a local, unprivileged user to access virtproxyd without authenticating. Remote users would need to authenticate before they could access it. | ||||
| CVE-2024-4693 | 1 Redhat | 2 Advanced Virtualization, Enterprise Linux | 2025-11-08 | 5.5 Medium |
| A flaw was found in the QEMU Virtio PCI Bindings (hw/virtio/virtio-pci.c). An improper release and use of the irqfd for vector 0 during the boot process leads to a guest triggerable crash via vhost_net_stop(). This flaw allows a malicious guest to crash the QEMU process on the host. | ||||
| CVE-2024-10306 | 1 Redhat | 3 Enterprise Linux, Jboss Core Services, Rhel Eus | 2025-11-08 | 5.4 Medium |
| A vulnerability was found in mod_proxy_cluster. The issue is that the <Directory> directive should be replaced by the <Location> directive as the former does not restrict IP/host access as `Require ip IP_ADDRESS` would suggest. This means that anyone with access to the host might send MCMP requests that may result in adding/removing/updating nodes for the balancing. However, this host should not be accessible to the public network as it does not serve the general traffic. | ||||
| CVE-2024-2182 | 1 Redhat | 1 Enterprise Linux | 2025-11-08 | 6.5 Medium |
| A flaw was found in the Open Virtual Network (OVN). In OVN clusters where BFD is used between hypervisors for high availability, an attacker can inject specially crafted BFD packets from inside unprivileged workloads, including virtual machines or containers, that can trigger a denial of service. | ||||
| CVE-2023-42755 | 3 Debian, Linux, Redhat | 3 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux | 2025-11-08 | 6.5 Medium |
| A flaw was found in the IPv4 Resource Reservation Protocol (RSVP) classifier in the Linux kernel. The xprt pointer may go beyond the linear part of the skb, leading to an out-of-bounds read in the `rsvp_classify` function. This issue may allow a local user to crash the system and cause a denial of service. | ||||
| CVE-2023-39192 | 3 Fedoraproject, Linux, Redhat | 3 Fedora, Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux | 2025-11-08 | 6.7 Medium |
| A flaw was found in the Netfilter subsystem in the Linux kernel. The xt_u32 module did not validate the fields in the xt_u32 structure. This flaw allows a local privileged attacker to trigger an out-of-bounds read by setting the size fields with a value beyond the array boundaries, leading to a crash or information disclosure. | ||||
