CVSS v3.1 |
| The mod_copy module in ProFTPD 1.3.5 allows remote attackers to read and write to arbitrary files via the site cpfr and site cpto commands. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ntfs: reject invalid sectors_per_cluster in the boot sector
is_boot_sector_ntfs() checks the boot sector's sectors_per_cluster field
with a range test that rejects 0x81..0xf3 but accepts 0 and other
non-power-of-two counts. A zero value reaches parse_ntfs_boot_sector():
sectors_per_cluster_bits = ffs(sectors_per_cluster) - 1;
...
vol->cluster_size = vol->sector_size << sectors_per_cluster_bits;
ffs(0) is 0, so sectors_per_cluster_bits becomes (unsigned)-1 and the
shift is undefined:
UBSAN: shift-out-of-bounds in fs/ntfs/super.c:673:39
shift exponent 4294967295 is too large for 32-bit type 'int'
This change rejects any non-power-of-two value, since it feeds the
aforementioned shift via ffs() - 1, which only yields the correct shift for a
power of two. |
| QloApps through 1.7.0 contains an authorization bypass vulnerability in AdminHotelRoomsBookingController::postProcess() that allows restricted back-office employees to access other hotels' data by supplying an id_hotel parameter. Attackers can modify the id_hotel URL parameter on the Book Now page to view room availability and booking status of hotels outside their assigned profile access. |
| savg-sanitizer is a PHP SVG/XML sanitizer. Prior to 1.0.0, svg-sanitizer's isHrefSafeValue() validates an SVG href after XML DTD entity expansion, but saveXML() serializes the original entity reference after removing the DTD declaration. A crafted entity such as Tab can appear to the sanitizer as a safe fragment prefix while HTML5 Named Character Reference resolution during inline HTML rendering later converts the surviving reference to whitespace, exposing a javascript: URL. When an application embeds the sanitized SVG inline, a user who activates the link can cause script to execute in the embedding page's origin. This issue is fixed in version 1.0.0. |
| savg-sanitizer is a PHP SVG/XML sanitizer. Prior to 1.0.0, svg-sanitizer allows a crafted SVG DTD with a #FIXED attribute default to make cleanAttributesOnWhitelist() perform a double DOMElement::removeAttribute() call on the same attribute name in src/Sanitizer.php. The first removal deletes the explicit attribute, while the DTD default rematerializes the value before the href safety path performs the second removal, which can corrupt libxml state and terminate the PHP worker. An attacker who can submit SVG content to a sanitization endpoint can repeatedly interrupt workers and degrade or exhaust application availability. This issue is fixed in version 1.0.0. |
| Uninitialized resource in Video in Google Chrome prior to 155.0.8059.39 allowed a remote attacker who had compromised the renderer process to read memory outside the sandbox via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High) |
| datamodel-code-generator generates Python data models from schema definitions. From 0.59.0 until 0.81.0, an attacker-controlled Protobuf schema can supply absolute or parent-directory paths captured by WEAK_IMPORT_PATTERN and consumed by _write_missing_weak_imports in src/datamodel_code_generator/parser/protobuf.py. Exploitation requires a victim or automated job to process the attacker-controlled schema with Protobuf input support, which requires the grpcio-tools package. The paths escape the weak_imports temporary directory before protoc runs, allowing creation of directory trees and new files or overwrite of existing writable files with a generated Protobuf syntax declaration. The effect persists when later Protobuf compilation fails. The written content is limited to a proto2 or proto3 syntax declaration, and direct arbitrary code execution has not been demonstrated. This issue is fixed in version 0.81.0. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ntfs: treat any nonzero dio zero-range return as an error
ntfs_dio_zero_range() returns either 0 or a negative errno from
blkdev_issue_zeroout(); it never returns a positive value. The
zeroing failure check in ntfs_attr_fallocate() therefore never fired,
so a failed zeroing operation was silently ignored: the loop kept
going, the newly allocated clusters were folded into initialized_size
and the write could succeed leaving stale on-disk data.
Treat any nonzero return as an error and abort the allocation. |
| The Nickname profile can panic with an out-of-bounds slice error when transforming crafted input into a short destination buffer. |
| An OS command injection vulnerability exists in the time and zone management subsystem of Brocade Fabric OS versions before 9.2.2d and 10.0.0 through 10.0.0a1. When updating system timezone settings via the REST API or configuration download routines, the system fails to sanitize input values before processing them in underlying shell execution routines. An authenticated user with low-privilege administrative access can exploit this vulnerability by submitting a crafted timezone string containing shell metacharacters. Successful exploitation allows the attacker to escape the restricted management environment and execute arbitrary shell commands with elevated privileges. |
| Insecure file permissions in the CodeCatalyst connection handler in AWS Toolkit for VS Code before 4.10.0 allowed local users to obtain CodeCatalyst bearer tokens via reading world-readable token cache files.
To mitigate this issue, users should upgrade to version 4.10.0 or later. |
| Malcolm's nginx Lua role-based access control (RBAC) layer decides whether an authenticated user may reach a role-restricted path (e.g. /htadmin, /auth, /admin_login, /arkime/api/esadmin, NetBox, upload endpoints) by pattern-matching the raw, percent-encoded request URI. Nginx itself, however, selects which location block actually serves the request using the percent-decoded, normalized URI. Because the RBAC check never percent-decodes its input, an authenticated low-privilege user can request an admin-only path using percent-encoding (e.g. /%68tadmin.php) and have nginx route it to the restricted location while the Lua RBAC gate evaluating the un-decoded raw string finds no matching restriction and grants access. |
| Malcolm's upload-processing pipeline (scripts/safe-extract.py) enforces entry-count, nesting-depth, and total-uncompressed-byte limits when extracting container archives (zip/tar/rar/7z via libarchive), but those limits are not applied when the uploaded file is a single-stream compressed format (.gz, .bz2, .xz, .lzma, .lz) that isn't a .tar.*-style archive. Any authenticated user permitted to upload PCAP/log files can upload a small, highly compressible file (e.g. a gzip bomb) that decompresses to an effectively unbounded size on disk, exhausting the shared Docker volume used by OpenSearch, Logstash, Arkime, and Zeek, and disrupting the platform for all users. |
| The Malcolm kiosk Flask application exposes a POST /script_call/<script> endpoint with zero authentication and wildcard CORS (CORS(app)). An attacker can force the operator's browser to execute arbitrary management commands via CSRF, including control.py --wipe which permanently deletes all captured network traffic and forensic logs, or control.py --stop which blinds the security monitoring. |
| The Arkime live capture service (arkime-live) in Malcolm runs with network_mode: host, exposing port 8005 on all network interfaces (viewHost=0.0.0.0). Arkime trusts the X-Forwarded-User header from any IP address (userAuthIps=::,0.0.0.0/0) and auto-creates users with full access. The passwordSecret is hardcoded to the public value "Malcolm". A network-adjacent attacker bypasses nginx entirely by connecting directly to port 8005 with a forged identity header. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ntfs: only count successfully cleared runs when freeing clusters
ntfs_cluster_free_from_rl_nolock() adds a run's length to nr_freed
whenever the error bookkeeping condition is false, which includes
cases where ntfs_bitmap_clear_run() actually failed - e.g. a second
run failing with the same errno as an earlier one, or any failure
after a non-ENOMEM error was already recorded. Since a failed
ntfs_bitmap_clear_run() rolls back its partial modifications, no
bits were cleared for that run, yet its length still inflates
vol->free_clusters, corrupting statfs output and the allocator's
free space gate.
Only count runs whose bitmap clear succeeded. |
| Malcolm file-upload component ships the upstream FilePond PHP server (pqina/filepond-server-php) largely unmodified: Dockerfile copies all upstream *.php files and Malcolm only overwrites config.php and submit.php. Upstream index.php exposes a fetch API route that instructs the server to download an arbitrary URL with curl (including FOLLOWLOCATION) and, for HEAD requests, stores the fetched response body in the upload container's transfer directory and returns the transfer ID to the caller, enabling full readback of the fetched content. |
| Malcolm's nginx based reverse proxy contains a URL path normalization inconsistency between its Lua based role-based access control (RBAC) authorization layer and nginx's own request routing logic. An authenticated user can craft a specially formatted request path to bypass role-based restrictions and reach administrative or role gated endpoints they should not have access to. This affects all restricted paths protected by the RBAC authorization layer, including file upload, PHP server, htadmin, and authentication management interfaces. |
| JHipster is a development platform to quickly generate, develop, and deploy modern web applications and microservice architectures. Prior to generator-jhipster 9.4.0 and react-jhipster 1.1.0, generated applications can persist attacker-controlled Blob data and companion ContentType values, return them through generated REST endpoints, and pass them to the generated openFile helper in generators/client/generators/common/templates/src/main/webapp/app/shared/jhipster/data-utils.ts.ejs. The helper uses the returned ContentType as the browser Blob MIME type and opens an object URL, so a normal authenticated user with write access to a Blob-bearing entity can store active HTML or SVG content that may execute under the application origin when a privileged user opens it. Exploitability depends on the generated application's content security policy and target-browser Blob behavior. This issue is fixed in generator-jhipster 9.4.0 and react-jhipster 1.1.0. |
| Malcolm's front nginx reverse proxy defines a "Dashboards → Arkime shortcut" location using a case-insensitive regex matcher but a case-sensitive rewrite. A request whose path segment is not exact-lowercase (for example /IDDASH2ARK/...) enters the location (the matcher fires) but evades the rewrite (no redirect is issued), so nginx falls through to the location's proxy_pass to the Arkime backend. That location is the one proxied location in the shipped config that does not include the per-location authentication file, so the request reaches Arkime unauthenticated. The same location also forwards a client-supplied X-Forwarded-User header un-overwritten, and Arkime is configured to trust X-Forwarded-User as the authenticated username — so an unauthenticated network caller can reach the Arkime backend while supplying a forged, auto-provisioned identity. |
