CVSS v3.1 |
| CompressionUtils.inflate() decompressed attacker-controlled DEFLATE data with no output-size cap. A small (~KB) crafted payload could expand to gigabytes on the heap. Reachable via JWE decryption when zip=DEF (e.g. JoseSessionTokenProvider with RSA-OAEP key wrap) and via SAML redirect/POST binding token inflation — in both cases decompression happens before/independent of trust validation.
Fix: Added a configurable maximum inflated-size cap (default 10 MiB, org.apache.cxf.compression-max-inflated-size system property) to CompressionUtils.inflate(); aborts with DataFormatException once exceeded.
Users are recommended to upgrade to versions 4.2.4 or 4.1.9 or 3.6.13, which fix this issue. |
| In Apache CXF, the parser for multipart/MTOM attachment part headers did not fully enforce the configured attachment-max-header-size (default 300 characters) and attachment-headers-max-count (default 500) limits. The size limit was applied only to each physical line, not to a header value built from continuation lines or to the combined values of a repeated header. The count limit was checked against the number of distinct header names, not the total number of header lines. A remote, unauthenticated attacker could send a multipart request with very large folded or repeated part headers. The server would then allocate memory without bound, causing a denial of service.
Users are recommended to upgrade to versions 4.2.4 or 4.1.9 or 3.6.13, which fix this issue. |
| A flaw was found in SmallRye JWT's AwsAlbKeyResolver, which is used by applications to verify JSON Web Tokens signed by AWS Application Load Balancers. When the AWS_ALB key provider is configured, the resolver constructs the key-fetch URL by directly concatenating the attacker-controlled kid header value from an inbound JWT without sanitizing path traversal characters or query-string separators. This allows an unauthenticated remote attacker to force the application server to issue GET requests to arbitrary paths on the same origin as the configured key endpoint. As a result, non-public endpoints or internal data reachable on that origin may be read by the attacker before JWT signature verification takes place. |
| IBM Langflow OSS 1.0.0 through 1.12.2 could allow a remote authenticated attacker to execute arbitrary code due to improper access control. |
| Multiple ECH outer extension references are not permitted under RFC 9849; previously, a client could send a well-crafted packet that could trigger memory exhaustion in the server process by specifying multiple references. We now reject these as malformed and curb the memory amplification vector as a result. |
| Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting') vulnerability in ThemeREX Education Center education allows Reflected XSS.This issue affects Education Center: from n/a through 3.6.12. |
| IBM Guardium Data Protection 12.2 is vulnerable to a signature verification bypass in the patch installer. An attacker with local access could exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code with root privileges. |
| IBM Guardium Data Protection 12.0, 12.1, 12.2 is vulnerable to a heap-based buffer overflow in the MongoDB protocol parser. A remote attacker could send a specially crafted MongoDB SCRAM username containing an excessive length and cause memory corruption, potentially resulting in denial of service or arbitrary code execution. |
| IBM Security Verify Access 10.0 through 10.0.9.2 and IBM Verify Identity Access 11.0 through 11.0.3 are vulnerable to cross-site scripting. This vulnerability allows an authenticated user to embed arbitrary JavaScript code in the Web UI thus altering the intended functionality potentially leading to credentials disclosure within a trusted session. |
| Dell Secure Connect Gateway (SCG) Policy Manager, versions prior to 5.34.00.16, contains an Incorrect Permission Assignment for Critical Resource vulnerability. A low privileged attacker with local access could potentially exploit this vulnerability, leading to Information disclosure, Protection mechanism bypass, and Unauthorized access. |
| Dell Secure Connect Gateway (SCG) Policy Manager, versions prior to 5.34.00.16, contains an Authorization Bypass Through User-Controlled Key vulnerability. A low privileged attacker with remote access could potentially exploit this vulnerability, leading to Elevation of privileges. |
| Dell Secure Connect Gateway (SCG) Policy Manager, versions prior to 5.34.00.16, contains an Initialization of a Resource with an Insecure Default vulnerability. A low privileged attacker with local access could potentially exploit this vulnerability, leading to Information disclosure. |
| Dell Secure Connect Gateway (SCG) Policy Manager, versions prior to 5.34.00.16, contains an Improper Restriction of Excessive Authentication Attempts vulnerability. An unauthenticated attacker with remote access could potentially exploit this vulnerability, leading to Elevation of privileges, Protection mechanism bypass, and Unauthorized access. |
| When http.Transport sends an HTTP/1 CONNECT request with a non-empty Request.Body, it writes the body directly to the connection without framing after the request headers. If the server rejects the CONNECT request with a non-2xx keep-alive response, Transport returns the connection to the idle pool. Because CONNECT requests do not have a request body, the server may interpret the trailing body bytes as a subsequent pipelined HTTP/1.1 request on the connection, leaving the pooled connection desynchronized and causing the next caller that reuses it to read the response to the injected request. In reverse proxies (including httputil.ReverseProxy) that forward CONNECT requests through a shared Transport, this can lead to cross-user response poisoning. |
| On Windows, when the target of Root.Mkdir or Root.MkdirAll is a junction pointing to an empty location, the operation can create a directory at the junction target even when that target is located outside the root. This only applies to operations where the last path component is a junction (path/to/junction, but not path/junction/target). |

| IBM Security Verify Access 10.0 through 10.0.9.2 and IBM Verify Identity Access 11.0 through 11.0.3 could allow a remote authenticated attacker to bypass additional authentication workflow steps. |
| IBM Security Verify Access 10.0 through 10.0.9.2 and IBM Verify Identity Access 11.0 through 11.0.3 could allow a remote authenticated attacker to execute arbitrary commands due to improper neutralization of command arguments. |
| IBM Security Verify Access 10.0 through 10.0.9.2 and IBM Verify Identity Access 11.0 through 11.0.3 could allow a remote attacker to bypass security restrictions due to improper authentication. |
| SumatraPDF is a multi-format reader for Windows. In 3.6.1 and earlier, MaybeFlipBitmap() asks GDI+ to read the attacker-controlled PropertyTagOrientation size through GetPropertyItem() while supplying only a fixed 64-byte buf on the stack. Opening a crafted TIFF with enough EXIF Orientation values can cause attacker-selected bytes to overwrite stack control data, while tested builds terminate through the stack cookie check. No broader impact is claimed beyond the advisory-supported conditions. No fixed version is available as of this review. |
