CVSS v3.1 |
Heap-based buffer overflow in Microsoft Office Outlook allows an unauthorized attacker to execute code over a network.
HTTP/2 servers could end up crashing due to inadvertently modifying its HPACK encoder concurrently. This happens because the server modifies the HPACK encoder from two goroutines without synchronization: one uses the encoder to encode a HEADERS frame as part of a response sent to a client and the other modifies the encoder's table size when handling a SETTINGS frame containing SETTINGS_HEADER_TABLE_SIZE that a client sends. A malicious client can repeatedly send a request while changing the header table size to crash the server.
A trusted template author may have previously written a valid template wherein the use of the 'yield' keyword would not be correctly escaped. We now ensure that valid keyword uses are escaped and non-keyword uses are not escaped.
The PO/MO Editor plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'podata' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 1.4.2 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. The injected payload is loaded as a replacement .po/.mo translation file via the plugin's own load_textdomain_mofile filter, causing WordPress to serve the attacker-written translation in place of the original core strings.
The FV Player 8 plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via 'synopsis' Shortcode Attribute in all versions up to, and including, 8.1.7 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. Unauthenticated visitors can also exploit this vulnerability when the 'Parse Vimeo and YouTube links' (parse_comments) setting is enabled, as this causes the plugin to process shortcodes within comment text.
When a JavaScript template literal contains consecutive expressions, the context tracking state was not properly reset upon entering a new expression. We now ensure that template-literal expression entries correctly reset context variables so all subsequent regular expression literals are accurately recognized and escaped.
Previously, a user operating inside of a malicious Go project that defines a bogus golang.org/toolchain go.sum entry and operates a malicious GOMODPROXY the user chooses to use can bypass the intended checksum. We now ensure that golang.org/toolchain always goes to the network for the canonical checksum.
Previously, a user operating inside of a malicious Go project that defines a bogus golang.org/fips140 and operates a malicious GOMODPROXY the user chooses to connect to can serve an arbitrary module in its place. We now unpack the trusted ziphash for the bundled golang.org/fips140 module and construct its entry in the GOMODCACHE such that it can be verified by the toolchain.
F´ (F Prime) is a framework that enables development and deployment of spaceflight and other embedded software applications. Prior to 4.3.0, Svc::FileUplink handling of Fw::FilePacket::StartPacket destination paths FileUplink copies the packet-controlled destinationPath and opens it for writing without canonicalization or confinement to an upload directory. When a peer able to send file-uplink packets supplies an absolute, traversing, or otherwise attacker-selected writable destination path, files can be created or overwritten at attacker-selected writable filesystem locations, affecting integrity and potentially availability. This issue is fixed in version 4.3.0.
A flaw was found in BusyBox httpd's reverse proxy feature. When the proxy is configured to forward requests matching a URL prefix to a backend server, only the first HTTP request on a TCP connection has its path rewritten. An attacker can send a pipelined second request that is relayed verbatim to the backend, bypassing the configured path restrictions. This allows accessing arbitrary paths on the backend server that were not intended to be exposed through the proxy.
A Regular-Expression Denial of Service (ReDoS) in the Markdown2. extract_metadata() function (lib/markdown2.py) of trentm markdown2 through v2.5.5 allows attackers to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via a crafted Markdown document.
A flaw was found in DPDK lib/vhost. A guest can desynchronize virtqueue size from inflight descriptor table size, causing an out-of-bounds write in the host vhost process.
A heap-based out-of-bounds read in the BufferSerializerIOv2_ReadBuffer function (src/serializers/serializer_io.c) in FalkorDB before 4.18.4 allows a remote attacker who can issue Redis replication commands (for example, against an instance with no password configured) to cause a denial of service or disclose heap memory by supplying a crafted RDB stream whose sub-buffer length field exceeds the remaining buffer size. The only bounds check is an ASSERT(), which is compiled out in release builds, so memcpy() reads past the end of the heap allocation.
EspoCRM is an open source customer relationship management application. Prior to 10.0.3, a user with email-template edit access and mass-email sending access can reference restricted record fields in a template because the renderer stops filtering those fields when per-user ACL application is disabled. The same behavior affects group email auto-replies when a regular user can edit the selected template, even though an administrator controls the group email. Rendered messages can disclose restricted user fields. This issue is fixed in version 10.0.3.
Redash is a package for data visualization and sharing. From 10.0.0 until 26.9.0, the JSON data source query runner in redash/query_runner/json_ds.py used _get_all_results() to combine its configured base_url with a user-supplied query URL by using urljoin. An absolute query URL replaced the configured base URL instead of remaining under it, allowing a user with execute_query permission to direct a server-side request to an arbitrary external origin. When HTTP Basic Auth was configured for the data source, the request also forwarded those credentials to the selected origin. Private and internal address access remained constrained when REDASH_ENFORCE_PRIVATE_IP_BLOCK was enabled. This issue is fixed in version 26.9.0.
OPNsense is a FreeBSD based firewall and routing platform. Prior to 26.1.11, OPNsense\Core\ACL::hasPrivilege() appends a directly assigned comma-separated <priv> value as one string and then uses an exact comparison when checking user-config-readonly. A user directly assigned both a component write privilege and user-config-readonly can therefore be treated as lacking the read-only restriction, and MVC APIs protected by throwReadOnly() can persist configuration changes for that component. Group privileges are not affected by the same parser flaw because the group path already splits comma-separated values. This issue is fixed in version 26.1.11.
OPNsense is a FreeBSD based firewall and routing platform. Prior to version 26.1.11, the Firewall Alias GeoIP importer's process_zip() and process_gzip() paths in src/opnsense/scripts/filter/lib/alias/geoip.py use an unvalidated CSV country_code value to construct output filenames below /usr/local/share/GeoIP/alias. A user with Firewall Alias Edit privilege can configure an attacker-controlled GeoIP source URL and supply an archive whose country code traverses into another existing directory, causing attacker-controlled content to be written as root with an -IPv4 or -IPv6 suffix. A crafted newsyslog fragment and oversized log file can use the default hourly root cron job to execute commands as root, resulting in complete firewall compromise. This issue is fixed in version 26.1.11.
util-linux is a random collection of Linux utilities. Before util-linux 2.41.4, `parse_dos_extended()` in `libblkid/src/partitions/dos.c` computes an extended-partition start sector with 32-bit addition and does not apply the extended-area bounds checks to the first two EBR entries. A local attacker who causes a crafted DOS extended-partition disk image or removable medium to be probed can wrap `cur_start + start` to sector zero and cause libblkid to report a false partition overlapping the MBR. This directly compromises the integrity of the reported partition metadata; disk modification or availability loss requires a separate downstream consumer to act on that metadata. This issue is fixed in 2.41.4.
| util-linux is a random collection of Linux utilities. In util-linux 2.39.1 through 2.41.4 and 2.42 through 2.42.1, the SUID `mount` utility reads the attacker-controlled `LIBMOUNT_FORCE_MOUNT2` environment variable with `getenv()`, allowing a local low-privileged
user to force the non-atomic legacy bind-mount path. With an `/etc/fstab` bind mount authorized by `user` or `users` and protected by `nosuid`, `noexec`, or `nodev`, an attacker can race the window between the initial bind mount and the remount that applies those security flags and execute a SUID program from the temporarily unprotected mount, potentially gaining root privileges. This issue is fixed in 2.41.5 and 2.42.2. |
util-linux is a random collection of Linux utilities. In util-linux 2.17 through 2.41.6 and 2.42 through 2.42.3, and in 2.42.4 when the legacy `mount(2)` path is used without `/proc`, restricted non-root `mount` requests validate an `/etc/fstab` target before the mount operation re-resolves that pathname. A local low-privileged user authorized by an fstab `user` or `users` entry whose target has an attacker-writable ancestor can use `renameat2(RENAME_EXCHANGE)` to swap a path component and redirect an authorized mount to a root-owned location, such as mounting attacker-controlled content over `/etc/sudoers.d`, and thereby gain root privileges. Versions 2.41.5 and 2.42.2 pin targets for the new mount API, and 2.42.4 pins legacy targets through `/proc/self/fd`; the documented legacy fallback without `/proc` remains affected.
