Repostat is a React component to fetch and display GitHub repository info. Prior to version 1.0.1, the `RepoCard` component is vulnerable to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS). The vulnerability occurs because the component uses React's `dangerouslySetInnerHTML` to render the repository name (`repo` prop) during the loading state without any sanitization. If a developer using this package passes unvalidated user input directly into the `repo` prop (for example, reading it from a URL query parameter), an attacker can execute arbitrary JavaScript in the context of the user's browser. In version 1.0.1, the use of dangerouslySetInnerHTML has been removed, and the repo prop is now safely rendered using standard React JSX data binding, which automatically escapes HTML entities.

This vulnerability is fixed in 27.0.3 and 28.0.1.

Zammad is a web based open source helpdesk/customer support system. Prior to 7.0.1 and 6.5.4, the HTML sanitizer for ticket articles was missing proper sanitization of data: ... URI schemes, resulting in storing such malicious content in the database of the Zammad instance. The Zammad GUI is rendering this content, due to applied CSP rules no harm was done by e.g., clicking such a link. This vulnerability is fixed in 7.0.1 and 6.5.4.

zlib is a Ruby interface for the zlib compression/decompression library. Versions 3.0.0 and below, 3.1.0, 3.1.1, 3.2.0 and 3.2.1 contain a buffer overflow vulnerability in the Zlib::GzipReader. The zstream_buffer_ungets function prepends caller-provided bytes ahead of previously produced output but fails to guarantee the backing Ruby string has enough capacity before the memmove shifts the existing data. This can lead to memory corruption when the buffer length exceeds capacity. This issue has been fixed in versions 3.0.1, 3.1.2 and 3.2.3.

Git for Windows is the Windows port of Git. Versions prior to 2.53.0.windows.3 do not have protections that prevent attackers from obtaining a user's NTLM hash. The NTLM hash can be obtained by tricking users into cloning a malicious repository, or checking out a malicious branch, that accesses an attacker-controlled server. By default, NTLM authentication does not need any user interaction. By brute-forcing the NTLMv2 hash (which is expensive, but possible), credentials can be extracted. This issue has been fixed in version 2.53.0.windows.3.

OWASP BLT is a QA testing and vulnerability disclosure platform that encompasses websites, apps, git repositories, and more. Versions prior to 2.1.1 contain an RCE vulnerability in the .github/workflows/regenerate-migrations.yml workflow. The workflow uses the pull_request_target trigger to run with full GITHUB_TOKEN write permissions, copies attacker-controlled files from untrusted pull requests into the trusted runner workspace via git show, and then executes python manage.py makemigrations, which imports Django model modules including attacker-controlled website/models.py at runtime. Any module-level Python code in the attacker's models.py is executed during import, enabling arbitrary code execution in the privileged CI environment with access to GITHUB_TOKEN and repository secrets. The attack is triggerable by any external contributor who can open a pull request, provided a maintainer applies the regenerate-migrations label, potentially leading to secret exfiltration, repository compromise, and supply chain attacks. A patch for this issue is expected to be released in version 2.1.1.

An authenticated user with custom fields privileges can define a malicious custom field containing a JavaScript payload. When the victim views the Assets or Nodes pages, the XSS executes in their browser context, allowing the attacker to perform unauthorized actions as the victim, such as modify application data, disrupt application availability, and access limited sensitive information.
