CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
iommufd: Set upper bounds on cache invalidation entry_num and entry_len
iommufd_hwpt_invalidate() takes a user-controlled entry_num and entry_len,
each bounded only by U32_MAX. An entry_len beyond the kernel's struct size
makes the copy helper verify the extra bytes are zero, scanning that excess
in one uninterruptible pass; a multi-gigabyte value over zeroed user memory
trips the soft-lockup watchdog.
A large entry_num is the other half, driving the backend invalidation loop
with no reschedule. The VT-d nested handler, for one, copies each entry and
flushes caches per iteration, pinning the CPU on a non-preemptible kernel.
Cap both in the ioctl. entry_len is held under PAGE_SIZE, above any request
struct, and entry_num under 1 << 19, the order of a hardware invalidation
queue and well beyond any real batch, bounding the per-call loop length. |
| Improper Certificate Validation vulnerability in Erlang OTP public_key (pubkey_ocsp module) allows forged OCSP responses signed with an expired responder certificate to be accepted as valid.
OCSP response verification in pubkey_ocsp:verify_response/5 and pubkey_ocsp:is_authorized_responder/3 in lib/public_key/src/pubkey_ocsp.erl does not check the validity period (notBefore/notAfter) of the OCSP responder certificate. An attacker who has obtained the private key of an expired CA-designated OCSP responder certificate can forge OCSP responses that Erlang/OTP accepts as valid.
This affects TLS clients using OCSP stapling via the ssl application: a malicious or compromised server can present a revoked TLS certificate together with a forged OCSP response signed by an expired responder key, and the client will accept the revoked certificate as valid. It also affects applications calling public_key:pkix_ocsp_validate/5 directly, where the impact depends on the use case — server-side client certificate validation using this API may allow authentication bypass with a revoked client certificate.
This issue affects OTP from OTP 27.0 before OTP 29.0.1, OTP 28.5.0.1 and OTP 27.3.4.12, corresponding to public_key from 1.16 before 1.21.1, 1.20.3.1 and 1.17.1.3. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
drm/xe/oa: Fix exec_queue leak on width check in stream open
In xe_oa_stream_open_ioctl(), when param.exec_q->width > 1 the
function returns -EOPNOTSUPP directly, skipping the existing
err_exec_q cleanup path. The exec_queue reference obtained by
xe_exec_queue_lookup() is leaked.
The exec queue holds a reference on the xe_file, which is only
dropped during queue teardown. The leaked lookup ref is not on
the file's exec_queue xarray, so file close cannot release it.
This keeps both the exec queue and the file private state pinned
indefinitely.
Jump to err_exec_q instead of returning directly so the reference
is released.

| Uncontrolled Recursion (CWE-674) in Elasticsearch can lead to denial of service via a specially crafted search request submitted by a low-privileged authenticated user. A user with read-level index access can submit a request that triggers unbounded recursive processing within the Elasticsearch query evaluation component, causing a fatal error that terminates the affected node. In single-node deployments, this results in complete service outage; in multi-node clusters, it causes repeated node restarts and sustained availability degradation. |
| IBM Db2 Genius Hub 1.1, 1.1.1, 1.1.2 and IBM Agentics 1.0 could allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code or obtain sensitive information due to the use of dangerous functions without sufficient restrictions. |
| A heap overflow in the evalcommand() function (shell/ash.c) of Busybox v1.38.0 allows attackers to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via supplying a crafted input. |
| A stack overflow in the evaluate() function (editors/awk.c) of BusyBox commit 371fe9 allows attackers to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via supplying a crafted AWK script. |
| Net::BitTorrent versions through 2.1.0 for Perl allow remote memory exhaustion via deeply nested bencoded input.
bdecode recurses once per nested list or dictionary level with no depth cap, and each recursive call receives the remaining buffer by value while the list and dictionary branches capture the whole remainder, so every live recursion frame keeps its own copy of the shrinking buffer (O(N^2) bytes for an N-deep input). The decoder runs on every untrusted bencode source: .torrent files, BEP09 metadata fetched from peers, DHT messages, and tracker responses.
A bencoded input of roughly 150,000 nested lists (about 150 KB on the wire) drives multi-gigabyte peak memory, so one short message from any peer, or one crafted .torrent file or magnet link, terminates the client. |
| The IPv6 Neighbor Discovery handlers in subsys/net/ip/ipv6_nbr.c (handle_ra_input, handle_ns_input, handle_na_input) used an incorrect boolean expression that combined the RFC 4861 validity checks with the ICMPv6 code check using the wrong operator precedence: the form was '((length/hop/source/target checks) && (icmp_hdr->code != 0))'. Because every legitimate ND message carries ICMPv6 code 0, an attacker setting code == 0 (the normal value) caused the entire predicate to evaluate false, so the packet was never dropped and all of the other checks were silently skipped. The bypassed checks include the mandatory Hop Limit == 255 verification (which proves an ND packet originated on-link and was not forwarded) and, for Router Advertisements, the requirement that the source be a link-local address, as well as multicast-target sanity checks. As a result, an adjacent on-link attacker — and, because the Hop-Limit-255 guard is bypassed, potentially a remote/off-link attacker whose packets would otherwise be rejected — can have forged Router Advertisement, Neighbor Solicitation, and Neighbor Advertisement messages accepted. A forged RA lets the attacker reconfigure the victim's default router, on-link prefixes (SLAAC), MTU, reachable/retransmit timers, and (with CONFIG_NET_IPV6_RA_RDNSS) DNS servers, while forged NS/NA enable neighbor-cache poisoning, enabling man-in-the-middle, traffic redirection, and denial of service. The flaw is an input-validation/authentication weakness rather than a memory-safety issue: the underlying packet-parsing primitives (net_pkt_get_data, net_pkt_read, net_pkt_skip) are independently bounds-safe and the validated 'length' is the true buffer length, so skipping the length check causes no out-of-bounds access. The defect has existed since the logic was introduced in 2018 and shipped in all releases through v4.4.0; it is fixed by splitting the condition so any failing check drops the packet. |
| An issue was discovered in cyrus-imapd in Cyrus IMAP through 3.12.2. URLAUTH does not honor revoked authorizer access. A URLAUTH URL minted while the authorizer had access continued to work after that access was revoked. |
| Symfony is a PHP framework for web and console applications and a set of reusable PHP components. Prior to 5.4.52, 6.4.40, 7.4.12, and 8.0.12, when the parser is exposed to attacker-controlled input, deeply nested mappings or sequences cause both the block-level (Parser::parseBlock()) and inline (Inline::parseSequence() / Inline::parseMapping()) parsers to recurse without a depth limit. A crafted document exhausts the PHP stack and crashes the worker. This issue is fixed in versions 5.4.52, 6.4.40, 7.4.12, and 8.0.12. |
| MuPDF before 1.27.0-rc1 contains an uncontrolled recursion vulnerability in the EPUB CSS rendering engine that allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service by supplying a maliciously crafted EPUB file with deeply nested HTML elements and inline CSS styles. The function value_from_inheritable_property() in css-apply.c recurses through the CSS property inheritance chain without a depth limit, exhausting the process stack and causing a crash in any application using MuPDF for EPUB rendering. |
| A flaw was found in p11-kit. The RPC message attribute parsing functions p11_rpc_message_get_attribute() and p11_rpc_message_get_attribute_array_value() form a mutually-recursive call chain with no recursion depth limit when processing nested CKA_WRAP_TEMPLATE, CKA_UNWRAP_TEMPLATE, and CKA_DERIVE_TEMPLATE attributes. An unauthenticated attacker with local access to the p11-kit RPC Unix domain socket can send a specially crafted request with deeply nested template attributes, causing stack exhaustion and crashing the p11-kit server process and its dependent services. |
| Uncontrolled Recursion, Uncontrolled Resource Consumption vulnerability in Apache IoTDB.
When pipe_air_gap_receiver_enabled=true, the IoTDB AirGap receiver's
readLength method calls itself recursively each time it recognises the
E-language prefix in socket data, with no depth limit. An unauthenticated
attacker can send a stream of repeated E-language prefixes that drives the
recursion arbitrarily deep, exhausting the receiver thread's JVM stack and
raising StackOverflowError.
This issue affects Apache IoTDB: from 1.0.0 before 2.0.10.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 2.0.10, which fixes the issue. |
| When the upstream Guardian or CMC was configured in the Remote Collector via n2os-tui, the generated configuration disabled TLS certificate verification, and no option was provided to enable it. A malicious actor could perform a man-in-the-middle attack and intercept the communication between the Remote Collector and the Guardian or CMC. This could result in theft of the sync token, impersonation of the server, injection of spoofed data (such as false asset information or vulnerabilities) into the Guardian or CMC, or disruption of the data flow between the Remote Collector and the Guardian or CMC. |
| A logic vulnerability was found in GStreamer's webrtcbin component. The _check_sdp_crypto() function contains an inverted boolean condition that causes it to accept remote SDP offers or answers that lack the required a=fingerprint attribute, while incorrectly rejecting those that include it. An attacker with the ability to intercept and modify WebRTC signaling messages could exploit this to bypass the SDP-level DTLS certificate fingerprint binding, weakening defenses against man-in-the-middle attacks on media streams. |
| Stanza is a Stanford NLP Python library for tokenization, sentence segmentation, NER, and parsing of many human languages. Prior to 1.12.2, Stanza model loaders such as stanza.models.common.pretrain.Pretrain.load() attempt torch.load(..., weights_only=True) but fall back to torch.load(..., weights_only=False) on attacker-controllable pickle.UnpicklingError, allowing a malicious .pt pretrain or model file to execute arbitrary pickle code when a Stanza NLP pipeline loads it. This issue is fixed in version 1.12.2. |
| Mistune is a Python Markdown parser with renderers and plugins. Prior to 3.3.0, the Include directive in src/mistune/directives/include.py detects only direct self-includes and not indirect cycles, allowing two markdown files that include each other to trigger unbounded recursion, raise RecursionError, and crash the rendering request. This issue is fixed in version 3.3.0. |
| Mojo::JSON versions before 9.47 for Perl allow memory exhaustion via unbounded recursion in the pure-Perl decoder.
The pure-Perl decode path (`_decode_value` dispatching to `_decode_array` and `_decode_object`) recurses with no depth limit, so a small deeply nested JSON document can consume excessive memory.
This path is the default when Cpanel::JSON::XS is not installed or `MOJO_NO_JSON_XS=1` is set; the Cpanel::JSON::XS fast path is not affected.
Any caller that decodes an untrusted JSON body, for example `Mojo::Message::json` reached through `$c->req->json`, can exhaust process memory and cause denial of service. |
