CVSS v3.1 |
| Heap-based buffer overflow in Windows Error Reporting allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally. |
| FreeRDP is a free implementation of the Remote Desktop Protocol. Prior to 3.30.0, FreeRDP's winpr/libwinpr/sspi/Kerberos/kerberos.c kerberos_DecryptMessage function fails to bound the peer-controlled GSS Wrap-token EC field before using it with RRC in IOV pointer offsets, allowing a malicious RDP peer to trigger out-of-bounds reads and in-place writes during CredSSP/NLA Kerberos decryption. This issue is fixed in version 3.30.0. |
| Time-of-check time-of-use (toctou) race condition in Windows MIDI Service Module allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally. |
| RouterOS does not compare the complete RSA public key when matching an SSH authentication request to an authorized user key, checking the key type and modulus but omitting the exponent. Because signature verification uses the client-supplied key, an attacker knowing an authorized RSA modulus can supply a key with exponent one, forge a valid signature, and open an SSH command channel as the target user without the private key.This issue affects only 7.x branch was fixed in versions: 7.23.4 (Long-term) and 7.24.2 (Stable) |
| MikroTik RouterOS accepts malformed RSA/PKCS#1 v1.5 signatures across RSA-based services, including TLS/X.509 certificate validation and SSH host-key authentication. Because its trust store includes an e=3 root CA, an attacker controlling or redirecting an outbound RouterOS TLS connection can use the root’s public certificate - without its private key - to forge a trusted intermediate and issue certificates for arbitrary hostnames, enabling TLS server impersonation. The same permissive verification also undermines RSA-based SSH authentication.
This issue affects only 7.x branch was fixed in versions: 7.23.6 (Long-term) and 7.24.3 (Stable).
Releases 7.23.4 and 7.24.2 included an incomplete fix. |
| A weakness has been identified in Zhonglun CloudPOS 3.0. Affected by this vulnerability is an unknown functionality of the file Program.cs of the component Automatic Update. Executing a manipulation of the argument version/url/packagekey/package name can lead to channel accessible by non-endpoint. The attack can be launched remotely. Attacks of this nature are highly complex. The exploitation appears to be difficult. The exploit has been made available to the public and could be used for attacks. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
Bluetooth: hci_qca: fix NULL pointer dereference in qca_setup() for non-serdev device
hu->serdev is NULL for hci_uart attached via non-serdev paths, but
qca_setup() unconditionally calls serdev_device_get_drvdata(hu->serdev)
and dereferences the result, causing a NULL pointer dereference.
Fix by guarding the dereference with a NULL check, consistent with the
rest of qca_setup(). |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
xfrm: Fix dev use-after-free in xfrm async resumption
xfrm async resumption hold skb->dev refcnt until after transport_finish.
However, xfrm_rcv_cb may modify skb->dev to tunnel dev without taking
device reference, such as vti_rcv_cb. The subsequent async resumption
will decrement the tunnel device's reference count, which lead to uaf
of tunnel dev and refcnt leak of orig dev as below:
unregister_netdevice: waiting for vti1 to become free. Usage count = -2
Stash the original skb->dev to fix refcnt imbalance. The new skb->dev set
by xfrm_rcv_cb can race with device teardown. Extend rcu protection over
xfrm_rcv_cb and transport_finish to prevent races. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
smb: client: fix busy dentry warning on unmount after DIO
Commit c68337442f03 ("cifs: Fix busy dentry used after unmounting") fixed
the issue in cifs where deferred close of a file led to a dentry reference
count not being released in umount, by flushing deferredclose_wq in
cifs_kill_sb() to solve it.
However, the cifs DIO path suffers from the same busy-dentry problem caused
by a delayed dentry reference-count release:

If the umount path is triggered before [5], it results warning:
BUG: Dentry 00000000eab1f070{i=9a917b66ae404fec,n=test} still in use (1)
[unmount of cifs cifs]
The existing per-inode ictx->io_count wait in cifs_evict_inode() does not
help: it lives in the inode eviction path, which runs after
shrink_dcache_for_umount() has already warned about the busy dentries.
Fix it by adding a per-superblock outstanding-rreq counter that is
incremented in cifs_init_request() and decremented in cifs_free_request().
In cifs_kill_sb(), before kill_anon_super(), wait for this counter to reach
0 - which guarantees that all cleanup_work for this sb have run and thus
all relevant cfile puts are queued on fileinfo_put_wq or serverclose_wq.
Then drain the workqueue so the dentry refs are dropped.
This is a targeted wait, not a flush of the system-wide system_dfl_wq. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
exit: hold a reference to thread_pid across proc_flush_pid
Commit 0a36bad01731 ("release_task: kill the no longer needed
get/put_pid(thread_pid)") removed the reference around proc_flush_pid().
It assumed that free_pids(post.pids) at the end of release_task() would
keep thread_pid alive until then.
That assumption is wrong. __change_pid() only records a detached PID in
post.pids when pid_has_task() is false for every PIDTYPE. If another task
still uses the exiting task's PID as its process group or session ID,
__unhash_process() removes the exiting task's PIDTYPE_PID link but leaves
the PID out of post.pids. release_task() therefore holds no reference to
it after dropping tasklist_lock.
The other task can then remove the remaining PIDTYPE links. Its
free_pids() call schedules delayed_put_pid(), and the RCU callback can free
the PID before the first release_task() reaches proc_flush_pid().
An unprivileged reproducer races wait4(-1) against setsid() to trigger this
ordering. Three of three fresh v7.2 KASAN boots reported:
BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in
proc_invalidate_siblings_dcache+0x3e2/0x3f0

KASAN identified a 144-byte object from the pid cache and located the bad
read 80 bytes into the freed object, matching pid->inodes. With an
explicit reference, three of three fresh boots completed without a KASAN
report. The concurrent RCU callback dropped its reference while
proc_flush_pid() was protected, and the balancing put_pid() performed the
final free afterward.
Take a reference before __unhash_process() clears p->thread_pid and release
it after proc_flush_pid() completes.
A tested source reproducer is available privately on request. No
controlled read or write, information leak, or privilege escalation is
claimed. The mainline patch applies directly to v6.19.y and newer;
v6.16.y through v6.18.y need a context-adjusted backport. |
| A MongoDB driver component could write sensitive configuration information, including a credential used for outbound network connectivity, to application log output in cleartext during routine client initialization. This occurs automatically as part of normal operation and requires no special privileges to trigger. A party able to read the affected application's logs or downstream log-aggregation storage could recover the credential and reuse it to authenticate to the associated network infrastructure. This issue affects confidentiality only. |

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
cpufreq: initialize policy rwsem before sysfs publication
cpufreq_policy_alloc() initializes policy->rwsem after
kobject_init_and_add() has created the policy sysfs directory and its
default attributes. A sysfs access can therefore reach a policy callback
before the semaphore has been initialized.
Initialize policy->rwsem before publishing the policy kobject so sysfs
callbacks always see an initialized semaphore. |
