CVSS v3.1 |
| The Better Messages – Chat Rooms, Group Chat, Private Messages & AI Chat Bots plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to generic SQL Injection via 'group_id' Message Meta Parameter in all versions up to, and including, 3.0.4 due to insufficient escaping on the user supplied parameter and lack of sufficient preparation on the existing SQL query. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries that can be used to extract sensitive information from the database. Exploitation requires the BuddyBoss Platform plugin to be installed with its Social Groups component disabled, a state that persists on any site that has previously toggled the Groups component off since BuddyBoss does not drop the wp_bp_groups table upon deactivation. |
| The Better Messages – Chat Rooms, Group Chat, Private Messages & AI Chat Bots plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored DOM-Based Cross-Site Scripting via User Display Name in all versions up to, and including, 3.0.4 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. This is exploitable by Subscriber-level users because WordPress core's sanitize_text_field() preserves HTML-entity-encoded payloads (e.g., an iframe srcdoc attribute), allowing the encoded string to be stored as a display name without requiring the unfiltered_html capability, and the plugin subsequently decodes it server-side before rendering. |
| The BA Book Everything plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via first_name Parameter in all versions up to, and including, 1.8.27 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. An unauthenticated attacker can obtain the valid order_id, order_num, and order_hash credentials required to reach the vulnerable action_to_pay() handler simply by placing a guest booking through the public [babe-booking-form] shortcode, making the full exploit chain reachable without any account. |
| The User Profile Builder – Beautiful User Registration Forms, User Profiles & User Role Editor plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via Avatar Field in all versions up to, and including, 4.0.2 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. The zero-length multipart file branch in wppb_save_avatar_value() writes the raw request value directly to user meta, bypassing the wppb_save_attachment_id()/wppb_verify_attachment_id() validation path; the stored payload is later adopted as a WordPress attachment URL and rendered unescaped by wppb_default_fields_make_upload_button() when an administrator views the affected account. |
| EAP's Artemis deserialization configuration permits deserialization by default. ObjectMessage.getObject() uses ObjectInputStreamWithClassLoader, which implements allow-list/block-list filtering via its checkSecurity()/isTrustedType() method. However, by default both allow-list and block-list are empty. When the allow-list is empty (size == 0), isTrustedType() returns true for ALL classes. This means all classes are deserializable by default. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ipv6: mcast: fix RCU list diversion in ip6_mc_del1_src()
When removing a source filter whose count reaches zero, ip6_mc_del1_src()
unlinks psf from pmc->mca_sources. If the filter was previously active,
the code moved psf directly into pmc->mca_tomb by updating psf->sf_next.
Because pmc->mca_sources is traversed locklessly under RCU (e.g. by
ipv6_chk_mcast_addr()), mutating psf->sf_next before a grace period
elapses diverts concurrent readers to the tombstone list. Consequently,
readers miss remaining active sources in pmc->mca_sources and improperly
examine deleted tombstone entries.
Fix this by allocating a new tombstone node for pmc->mca_tomb (as done
in sf_setstate()) and retiring the original psf via kfree_rcu(). |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
smb/client: fix stale page cache in insert/collapse range
smb3_insert_range() and smb3_collapse_range() use
truncate_pagecache_range() to invalidate the affected page cache.
However, if off or old_eof is not page-aligned, the boundary pages are
only partially zeroed and remain uptodate. As a result, the client may
return stale data after a successful insert/collapse range operation.
For example, with 4K pages:
page 0 page 1 page 2
0------4K 4K------8K 8K------12K
^ ^
off=2K old_eof=10K
Page 1 is removed from the page cache, while the boundary pages are
only partially zeroed. After COPYCHUNK moves the data on the server,
these cached pages may still return stale data.
This can be reproduced on a CIFS mount:
bash -c '
FILE=/mnt/scratch/repro
# Use a 6 KiB file so EOF is not page-aligned.
dd if=/dev/urandom of=/tmp/src bs=1K count=6 status=none
# Expected: a 4 KiB hole followed by the original data.
rm -f /tmp/expected
truncate -s 4K /tmp/expected
cat /tmp/src >> /tmp/expected
cp /tmp/src "$FILE"
# Prime the page cache before moving data on the server.
cat "$FILE" > /dev/null
fallocate --insert-range -o 0 -l 4K "$FILE"
if cmp -s /tmp/expected "$FILE"; then
echo "readback: OK"
else
echo "readback: STALE DATA"
fi
'
Fix this by writing back dirty data and discarding the page cache from
the start of the page containing off to EOF before moving data on the
server. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ksmbd: rate limit unmapped SID errors
A client can include many structurally valid but unmapped SIDs in a DACL.
Logging every mapping failure lets one request generate hundreds of kernel
error messages.
Rate limit the message to prevent an authenticated client from flooding
the kernel log. |

| A flaw was found in Wildfly. A remote unauthenticated attacker can trigger OutOfMemoryError as CSIv2Util's GSS token decoder reads an attacker-controlled length field without bounds checking and attempts to allocate a byte array of that size. |
| A flaw was found in Undertow. A remote attacker can cause Out of Memory on websockets endpoint without authentication on any @ServerEndpoint class that has any @OnMessage method. This allows an attacker to cause Denial of Service attack without authentication and using only a standard WebSocket handshake. |
| A flaw was found in EAP's IIOP. The listener's NameService would accept bind operations without authentication, allowing an attacker to hijack JNDI lookups and binding them to a malicious ORB, achieving MITM or DoS on further invocations. |
| A flaw was found in EAP's jboss-remoting. A remote unauthenticated attacker who can reach :8080 (or :9990, or :4447) and complete an Upgrade: jboss-remoting handshake can cause OOM errors that degrade requests server-wide, leading to denial of service. |
| A flaw was found in EAP's undertow http/1.1 chunked-transfer decoder. missing limits on size and count would allow an attacker to use an unauthenticated connection to drive the JVM to an OutOfMemory error, stopping all deployments on the listener, and achieving Denial of Service. |
| when EAP runs with -secmgr, the openjdk-orb's JDKBridge honours attacker-supplied CDR codebase URLs during object unmarshalling on :3528, allowing an unauthenticated attacker to load and instantiate arbitrary classes from a remote URL in the server JVM before EJB security interceptors run. |
| A flaw was found in Picketlink's SP signature validation; a SAML response containing zero assertion elements matching the signature check can allow an attacker to forge a SAML response and auth as any principal with any roles on the protected application. |
| A flaw was found in JBoss marshalling. The Infinispan session replication path deserializes replicated session data via the JBoss Marshalling River unmarshaller with no class filtering — enabling RCE via deserialization gadget chains on every cluster node. |
