CVSS v3.1 |
Markdown Preview Enhanced is a Markdown preview extension for Visual Studio Code. Prior to 0.8.28, Markdown Preview Enhanced preview-link handling passes a decoded, Markdown-controlled link target to a Windows file-opening helper that invokes child_process.exec with the start command. When a Windows user opens an untrusted Markdown file and clicks a crafted external or unsupported-scheme link, shell metacharacters in the decoded target are interpreted by cmd.exe as command separators, allowing an attacker-selected command to run with the privileges of the current VS Code user. The attack requires one normal preview-link click but does not require malicious workspace configuration, script execution to be enabled, or additional files. This issue is fixed in version 0.8.28.
| NordVPN for Windows allows local attackers to stop unprotected Windows system services and change their startup type to Manual via named pipes. The NordVPN user-mode application allows a low-privileged attacker to act as a trusted process and connect to the named pipe "\\.\pipe\nord-security\v1\NordVpnService\Server". The attacker can then invoke the "ISettingsGrpc.StopService" and "ISettingsGrpc.ChangeServiceStartType" methods with an arbitrary service name, allowing them to stop any unprotected Windows service and change its startup type. This leads to denial of service of critical system services. Services protected by Windows (PPL processes, Windows Tamper Protection), such as Windows Defender, cannot be stopped or reconfigured.
This issue was fixed in version 8.12 |
containerd is an open-source container runtime. From 2.1.0 until 2.2.7 and 2.3.4, containerd's CRI CreateContainer checkpoint restore is vulnerable because CRIU restores process security state from checkpoint data instead of enforcing the destination ContainerConfig. An attacker who can create a container from a crafted checkpoint can supply restored credentials, capabilities, no_new_privs, and seccomp state. The restored process can run as root with full capabilities and no enforced seccomp filters while CRI status reports the requested configuration. Systems that do not use CRI checkpoint restore are not affected. This issue is fixed in versions 2.2.7 and 2.3.4.
A potential vulnerability was reported in Lenovo Smart Camera C33, distributed exclusively in the Chinese market, that could allow an unauthorized remote user to disclose sensitive information.
The Subscribe to Comments WordPress plugin before 2.3.3 does not sign or validate a cookie it trusts to identify a commenter, allowing unauthenticated attackers to disclose a subscriber's management key and silently alter that subscriber's subscriptions.
The Coinsnap Bitcoin Crowdfunding WordPress plugin through 1.2.0 does not restrict access to the secret used to authenticate its payment gateway webhook, disclosing it to unauthenticated users and rendering the webhook's signature check ineffective. This allows unauthenticated attackers to forge payment-confirmation notifications and record arbitrary donations as completed, with attacker-chosen amounts, donor names and messages.
Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting') vulnerability in Houzez.co Houzez houzez allows Reflected XSS.This issue affects Houzez: from n/a through 4.4.0.
Out-of-bounds read in Windows Network File System allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally.
Missing authentication for critical function in Windows Health and Optimized Experiences Service allows an authorized attacker to disclose information locally.
RabbitMQ is a messaging and streaming broker. From 4.2.0 until 4.2.9 and 4.3.3, the Shovel parameter parser converted attacker-controlled runtime parameter values into non-garbage-collected Erlang atoms before bounding them or checking a fixed allowlist. Exploitation requires network access to the Management HTTP API, valid credentials with both the management and policymaker tags, permission to set Shovel runtime parameters on a vhost, and the rabbitmq_shovel and rabbitmq_shovel_management plugins to be enabled. The attacker can exhaust the node-wide atom table and deny service, and malicious parameters are stored durably and reparsed when workers start, so atom pressure can recur after restart without a live attacker connection. This issue is fixed in versions 4.2.9 and 4.3.3.
Missing authorization in Windows Overlay Filter allows an authorized attacker to perform tampering locally.
Use after free in Windows Graphics Kernel allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally.
Improper access control in Windows Routing and Remote Access Service (RRAS) allows an authorized attacker to perform tampering locally.
SparkyFitness is a self-hosted, AI-powered health and fitness tracker for families. Prior to 1.6.0, SparkyFitnessServer/services/chatService.ts and SparkyFitnessServer/services/labelScanService.ts do not validate destinations supplied in custom AI service settings. An authenticated user saves a custom AI service URL and invokes an affected AI flow. The user can save a custom AI service URL and trigger an outbound request. Successful exploitation can send server-side POST requests with a controlled bearer value, probe internal services, and disclose the AI system prompt. This issue is fixed in version 1.6.0.
Integer overflow or wraparound in Windows Virtualization-Based Security (VBS) Enclave allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally.
Improper neutralization of special elements used in an sql command ('sql injection') in Microsoft Configuration Manager allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges over a network.
Null pointer dereference in Windows Installer allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally.
Null pointer dereference in Windows MIDI Service Module allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally.
SparkyFitness is a self-hosted, AI-powered health and fitness tracker for families. Prior to 1.6.0, the api/admin/backup/restore endpoint interpolates an uploaded filename into a shell command. An authenticated global administrator uploads a restore archive with a crafted filename. The administrator can supply a restore archive with a filename containing shell metacharacters. Successful exploitation can execute arbitrary operating-system commands with the server process privileges. This issue is fixed in version 1.6.0.
Use after free in Windows Installer allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally.
