CVE-2017-11147 3 Netapp, Php, Redhat 3 Clustered Data Ontap, Php, Rhel Software Collections 2025-04-20 9.1 Critical
In PHP before 5.6.30 and 7.x before 7.0.15, the PHAR archive handler could be used by attackers supplying malicious archive files to crash the PHP interpreter or potentially disclose information due to a buffer over-read in the phar_parse_pharfile function in ext/phar/phar.c.
CVE-2017-1000254 2 Haxx, Redhat 3 Libcurl, Jboss Core Services, Rhel Software Collections 2025-04-20 N/A
libcurl may read outside of a heap allocated buffer when doing FTP. When libcurl connects to an FTP server and successfully logs in (anonymous or not), it asks the server for the current directory with the `PWD` command. The server then responds with a 257 response containing the path, inside double quotes. The returned path name is then kept by libcurl for subsequent uses. Due to a flaw in the string parser for this directory name, a directory name passed like this but without a closing double quote would lead to libcurl not adding a trailing NUL byte to the buffer holding the name. When libcurl would then later access the string, it could read beyond the allocated heap buffer and crash or wrongly access data beyond the buffer, thinking it was part of the path. A malicious server could abuse this fact and effectively prevent libcurl-based clients to work with it - the PWD command is always issued on new FTP connections and the mistake has a high chance of causing a segfault. The simple fact that this has issue remained undiscovered for this long could suggest that malformed PWD responses are rare in benign servers. We are not aware of any exploit of this flaw. This bug was introduced in commit [415d2e7cb7](https://github.com/curl/curl/commit/415d2e7cb7), March 2005. In libcurl version 7.56.0, the parser always zero terminates the string but also rejects it if not terminated properly with a final double quote.
CVE-2017-16642 5 Canonical, Debian, Netapp and 2 more 6 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Clustered Data Ontap and 3 more 2025-04-20 N/A
In PHP before 5.6.32, 7.x before 7.0.25, and 7.1.x before 7.1.11, an error in the date extension's timelib_meridian handling of 'front of' and 'back of' directives could be used by attackers able to supply date strings to leak information from the interpreter, related to ext/date/lib/parse_date.c out-of-bounds reads affecting the php_parse_date function. NOTE: this is a different issue than CVE-2017-11145.
CVE-2017-10379 5 Debian, Mariadb, Netapp and 2 more 19 Debian Linux, Mariadb, Active Iq Unified Manager and 16 more 2025-04-20 6.5 Medium

Easily exploitable vulnerability allows low privileged attacker with network access via multiple protocols to compromise MySQL Server. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized access to critical data or complete access to all MySQL Server accessible data. CVSS 3.0 Base Score 6.5 (Confidentiality impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.0/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N).
CVE-2017-9227 3 Oniguruma Project, Php, Redhat 3 Oniguruma, Php, Rhel Software Collections 2025-04-20 9.8 Critical
An issue was discovered in Oniguruma 6.2.0, as used in Oniguruma-mod in Ruby through 2.4.1 and mbstring in PHP through 7.1.5. A stack out-of-bounds read occurs in mbc_enc_len() during regular expression searching. Invalid handling of reg->dmin in forward_search_range() could result in an invalid pointer dereference, as an out-of-bounds read from a stack buffer.

Invalid json_populate_recordset or jsonb_populate_recordset function calls in PostgreSQL 10.x before 10.1, 9.6.x before 9.6.6, 9.5.x before 9.5.10, 9.4.x before 9.4.15, and 9.3.x before 9.3.20 can crash the server or disclose a few bytes of server memory.
CVE-2017-10784 2 Redhat, Ruby-lang 3 Enterprise Linux, Rhel Software Collections, Ruby 2025-04-20 N/A
The Basic authentication code in WEBrick library in Ruby before 2.2.8, 2.3.x before 2.3.5, and 2.4.x through 2.4.1 allows remote attackers to inject terminal emulator escape sequences into its log and possibly execute arbitrary commands via a crafted user name.
CVE-2017-7659 2 Apache, Redhat 2 Http Server, Rhel Software Collections 2025-04-20 N/A
A maliciously constructed HTTP/2 request could cause mod_http2 in Apache HTTP Server 2.4.24, 2.4.25 to dereference a NULL pointer and crash the server process.

CVE-2017-9226 3 Oniguruma Project, Php, Redhat 3 Oniguruma, Php, Rhel Software Collections 2025-04-20 9.8 Critical
An issue was discovered in Oniguruma 6.2.0, as used in Oniguruma-mod in Ruby through 2.4.1 and mbstring in PHP through 7.1.5. A heap out-of-bounds write or read occurs in next_state_val() during regular expression compilation. Octal numbers larger than 0xff are not handled correctly in fetch_token() and fetch_token_in_cc(). A malformed regular expression containing an octal number in the form of '\700' would produce an invalid code point value larger than 0xff in next_state_val(), resulting in an out-of-bounds write memory corruption.
