| CedarJava is an open source Java implementation of the Cedar policy language, used for fine-grained authorization decisions. In versions prior to 2.3.6, 3.4.1 and 4.9.0, under certain circumstances, improper input handling could allow Record-to-Entity type confusion across the Java-Rust FFI boundary. CedarJava sends authorization requests to the Rust cedar-policy evaluator as JSON. The JSON protocol reserves magic single-key object shapes (__entity and __extn) for entity references and extension values. When serializing a CedarMap, there is no validation preventing these reserved keys from being used. If an integrating service builds a CedarMap from caller-supplied key/value data (such as request headers, user-defined metadata, or resource tags), an actor who controls those keys could cause the Rust evaluator to interpret a record as an entity reference. This issue requires the integrating service to build a CedarMap where the an actor controls the keys, and a policy must reference that value in a when/unless clause. This vulnerability has been fixed in versions 2.3.6, 3.4.1, and 4.9. |

Attackers can exploit insufficient input validation in is_dns_record_format_valid() combined with unsafe eval-based parsing in update_domain_zone() to prematurely close a variable assignment string and achieve full root code execution on the underlying host in a single DNS record creation step. |
| Coturn is a free open source implementation of TURN and STUN Server. Prior to 4.13.0, the psd print sessions dump CLI command in coturn takes a filename argument and directly passes it to fopen with no path validation. An authenticated admin with CLI access can overwrite arbitrary files writable by the coturn process because the command string is used as-is after stripping the psd prefix and leading spaces, allowing truncation and overwrite with session dump data. This issue is fixed in version 4.13.0. |

| NanaZip is the 7-Zip derivative intended for the modern Windows experience. Prior to 6.5.1749.0, NanaZip's .NET single-file bundle handler in NanaZip.Codecs.Archive.DotNetSingleFile.cpp sizes its extraction buffer from the bundle entry Size field, which is only checked for sign and is not validated against the real file size. A crafted bundle can cause an attacker-chosen allocation inside Extract, where std::bad_alloc or std::length_error can escape across the COM STDMETHODCALLTYPE boundary and crash the process. This issue is fixed in version 6.5.1749.0. |
